| Easton bats.......They are terrible bats..... They don't hit for distance....... If anyone bought one thinking its going to be good, you can get rid of them now, before their value plummets. I will take it off your hands.......$25 each

| Hey guys,
Can't find this info anywhere so hopefully someone who has some hits on a mad dawg can help me. I'm trying to decide what to do with it to get it ready for spring.
How many hits does it need to open up? Does it get webbed at all? Anything I should do or shouldn't do?
Thanks!!

You can go to this link.
It indicates what “images” appear on the handle of “legal” bats. Example: ASA, Certificate 2004, USSSA 1.20 thumb print.
Look at the “non approved bat list” LINK on the page for those bats that are “illegal”.
All the rest of the bats are legal with the aforementioned “images”.

| We've been swinging the F30 since the fall and so far had no issues. We strictly use hot dots so that helps a great deal in preserving the life of a bat.
Its possible that a few bad ones were made but more likely that the American guys were using rocks. Anything is possible though.
Since I've switched to the 2 piece bats I can honestly say I've only broken 2 bats. Both of which I was using stadium balls. With using only hot dots I've had amazing luck in not breaking bats.
My guess is that all the bats will get a great life span if you limit the use of harder balls regardless of the brand of bat.
I have also found that because I'm not breaking the bat they are reaching a whole new level of insanity. At that point they likely will not pass compression but are a lot of fun for BP.
Moral of my post is regardless of using Miken/Worth, Mizuno, Louisville etc etc if you use the proper balls you will more than likely have your bat last a long time and exceed your expectations in performance.

| Probably a stupid question. I was watching a game before I played last year and seen a guy hit a home run at Crosby. He crosses the safe line and does a jumping chest bump with another player. When he lands he takes a step back and steps on the plate. The umpire was not looking.
He has already crossed the safe line and in theory the play is dead since it was a home run over the fence. Should he have been called out anyways because he stepped on the plate?
Never seen something like this before and can't find anything in the rules really regarding it, although anything I've read regarding stepping on home plate

| Ryno and Labtech Ryno, he is NOT out.
It would be like a batter crossed the “safe” line legally – then picked up a bat down the first base line and steps on the plate on his way back to the 3rd base dugout. He WOULD NOT be called out… and neither would the Chest Bumper (I hope he didn’t crack a rib).

| Man on first, ball hit to OF...man on first run to 2 base. pitch runs to make a play 5 feet from 2 base blocking the baseline. Man collides w pitcher without the ball getting to him. Pitch complains and said runner should be out. Is runner out? Where was he to go?

| The contact with the pitcher scenario - is up to the umpy.
If the umpy thinks he physically or verbally interferes with a fielder attempting to field a batted ball or thrown ball - he is out.
You shouldn't have to run into a defender. Or pull a Bautista and try to break up a double play.

| If the pitcher had a play on the ball, the runner would be out for interference. If the pitch had no play, the runner would be safe.
This is just from reading other similar plays being questioned - and I still might be wrong.

| Should also note that if the umpire decides the interference broke up a double play (which it sounds like it would if there was less than 2 outs) then the runner closest to home would be out as well.

| Numerous years ago I played in another local league and meet the fellas for some pre season BP. My first swings are with the legal bat I own. They’re what I’m used to, with a sizable sweet spot that deadens the force but also allows for perfect control, ideal for my usual strategy of pushing the ball over the second baseman’s head. This sets a baseline for comparison. My subsequent swings are with the teams illegal bats, which have been turned illegal through various means by various technicians. Their sweet spots are wider, the swings more natural, the trauma they produce more blunt. What a difference in the distance. I maned up and never used them. Why would someone consciously trying to hurt other people ?

| Reminder-//- As of 2014, only bats with the USSSA 1.20 BPF mark are sanctioned for use in Canada by SPN (Slo-Pitch National), SPO (Slo-Pitch Ontario), and NSA Canada (National Slo-Pitch Association). These regulatory bodies agreed to recognize and accept the USSSA bat testing methods, which have streamlined and simplified the rules for designating legal bats in Canada.
