| Bat legality question.
Does this have bad logic? I know USSSA a bats are hotter than ASA bats correct? So then why would ASA bats be illegal?
Thoughts?

| Simply put, old stamp bats dont stop at 98 compression, they keep getting better until they break. New stamp bats are said to "top out" where they should.
Also, old ASA bats are very easy to alter compared to new stamp. for a league to still allow old stamp is very dangerous.

| "hotter" is relative to the ball being used, and ASA bats are certified with different balls than USSSA bats.
An ASA bat is probably hotter than a USSSA bat with a harder ball, because ASA bats are made for softer balls.

| Old standard USSSA bats were hotter then ASA. The new bats are the reverse. Hence why ASA bats are not allowed in SPN?SPO/NSA.

| As for old ASA bats, there is a reason they came up a new specification. Manufacturers found a way to make a product that that passed the tested but performed much better than what was considered safe. They essentially exploited flaws in the designed testing. We the suckers paid for that.

| Slopitch is an amazing sport - more than that it's a tight-knit, supportive and fun community and it's time that we respect each other as members of this league.

| Pretty straightforward. There are two testing specifications. Utrip and ASA. A dual stamp bat has passed both testing specifications. A dual stamp bat won't be better than a single stamp of the same association. In fact, it is more likely a dual stamp bat will produce a lesser quality bat for one of the associations. The trade off is that you can use that bat anywhere you play..

| Very good thing for our sport to have a spec that is across the board. It is better for players, umpires and better for the bat manufacturers.

| Don't buy this bat, it is a large turd. My turd story started with last year's DeMarini Special Edition
The ONE OG from Spprt Check. I tried a buddies out, and I liked it so I bought a "The ONE OG" dual stamped...
It truly stinks.

| The new bats are made for the Hot Dots and you can really shorten the life of them if you hit a harder ball.

| The new rules of the thumb print makes this the best year every for legal bats. If you got one on the bat it is legal, if not not don't use.

| Guys,
When you are looking to buy a bat, it should be end-load with more mass on its barrel for extra power and distance. It needs to have a good strong Grip. Hopefully it gets hotter with every hit that you make. A massive sweet spot is imperative.

| Gents, old guy been away for some time returning after some surgeries. Always been a Miken guy and all my bats are out of date. Saw a Miken 12 Freak. Wondering what are your thoughts on this stick. Always liked a soft feel and swung recoils and freaks in the past. Thanks for your input.
