The championship side bracket is set.

The first-round matchups are:

5 Cairney Homes vs. 12 Unionville Pool Boys
6 Duchess vs. 11 Gregory Design
7 The School vs. 10 MBL Landscaping
8 Active Health Center vs. 9 Xterra Landscapes

The potential second-round matchups are:

1 DST plays winner of 8 Active Health Center vs. 9 Xterra Landscapes
2 Starks Barber plays winner of 7 The School vs. 10 MBL Landscaping
3 Harding Display plays winner of 6 Duchess vs. 11 Gregory Design
4 McLean Hallmark plays winner of 5 Cairney Homes vs. 12 Unionville Pool Boys

Below are the probabilities for the entire tournament. The first number is the probability of making the Final 4 (make it to Sunday), and the second number is the probability of winning the title.

1 DST (86%, 47%)
2 Starks Barber (70%, 22%)
3 Harding Display (62%, 13%)

9 Xterra Landscapes (2%, <1%)
10 MBL Landscaping (26%, 2%)

DST is the dominant team to beat. Their odds of winning the title are even higher this year at 47% than last year at 44%.

Here's the link to last year's title odds if you are curious to see how it has changed for each team

Can anyone stop DST from celebrating their 5th title in 6 years? Let the tournament begin ...

Cairney Homes is the favourite to win the title.
Gregory Design and Unionville Pool Boys need to win 4 games today to take the title. They won 3 games yesterday to make the Final 4. Can they do it again?

I thought it might also be interesting to look at the Road to the Final 4 for the remaining teams.
There were definitely a few bracket busters in the tournament so far.

Congrats to Duchess on winning the title!
Duchess won a best of 3 series with Cairney on the final day, with a brief interlude to play Gregory Design after Game 1. Winning the title on the fourth game of the day must have been super tiring, but ultimately very rewarding. Congrats guys.

Congrats also to Cairney for making their 3rd final in 4 years. That's quite an achievement.

Also a final shout out to the 3 teams from the B division (MBL Landscaping, Gregory Design, Unionville Pool Boys). You represented your division very well, going a combined 8-6, and helped shape the outcome of the tournament. Great job guys.

The bottom 6 teams won 12 games.

The top 6 teams won 11 games.

The top 4 four team combined for 1 win, how pathetic.

Congrats to the Duchess.

The intention of the regular season is to help raise the baseball IQ of the players and allow everyone to get some experience. The end of the season proved that the format works with great plays being made and players learning how to think when they play. Hats off to all the players this season, and to the volunteers that made it work.

What a story. Max Muncy's parents met in the third inning of this game, fell in love, got married, had a family, and watched their boy grow up and become a WorldSeries? ?hero.

The World Series was baseball 2018 in a microcosm. Half the 44 runs scored by the champion Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers came across the plate on home runs. That’s the second-highest percentage in baseball history. Our league scores way to many runs also.

How do you suggest we fix the enormous number of runs we score in the league? Is this an epidemic? I suggest you make a suggestion.

Example: we score a lot of runs. What do you think about switching to wood softball bats?

That wasn't so hard...

Playing with wooden bats........It’s likestubbing your toe on the side of a chair, spilling coffee on your only clean white shirt, getting stuck In traffic, being late for work, no parking, long meeting, paper cut..Annoying foot itch..and then finding out your mother in law is staying for a week
