A new year is an invitation for change. Will your team embrace new players and lineups ?
Here is a predictions for the new year ——— Active Green & Ross win it all. Watching the younger fellas last year I can’t understand why the blue Cubs team can be beat.

Two things I hate about masters ball:
1. The teams that will try to fight the umpire for every close call.
2. The guys on your team that think it’s the Olympic try outs.

Your most powerful weapon on the field is not your speed, arm strength, glove or bat. It’s your desire, focus, mental toughness and competitive nature.

We call it beer league for a reason, right? It’s a part of the culture that beers will be knocked back with the boys postgame, win or lose. Nothing makes the statement, “we aren’t athletes anymore and don’t take ourselves seriously” like drinking beers after (and sometimes even before) physical exertion. The type of beer a team drinks after the game says a lot about them.

If your team only drinks Canadian beer, like Labatt, Molson, or Moosehead, you are likely a pure Canadian. You will never accept that American beer might be good simply because it is made in America. If somebody brings a case of Bud Light in the trunk, you throw up a little in your mouth. It’s a pilsner from the great white north or nothing, period.

Ah, there it is again: that craving. It's Saturday night and early enough in the month that you haven’t yet had to extend your overdraft to buy a case, and there’s some house party or warehouse rave or something, pulsing away, and you need it. Your body needs it. Or do you save until May, for ball season.

I have always considered beer to be my dietary vice, the way some people feel about ice cream or donuts. Rarely a day goes by where I don’t imbibe in a beer. To be clear, I drink in complete moderation.

If the thought of sipping a beer is gag-inducing, you're not alone. But even if you're in good company, it begs the question: Why do some people hate the taste of beer?

Beer reduces the risk of developing kidney stones.

Another point, beer is 90 percent water, and water is the most powerful tool for the prevention of kidney stones.
