| The continuous rain soaked the field and produced huge pools of standing water in the outfield, lagoons at the bases that grew much larger as the day went on. The sudden flood made the outfield unplayable, even if we used squeegees, small pumps and aeration machines.

| Each weather situation is different and includes unique circumstances. Any time weather is an issue, the league weighs factors that include the amount of rain the field has already absorbed and future forecast, including likelihood of future rain, possible rain duration, and the severity of additional weather. The decision to postpone games due to weather is made with these, and many other, factors in mind. The most important factor we consider is the safety of our umpires and our players.

| We are too often addicted to negativity, it is easy. We look for the bad not good. We constantly complain about the weather or the umpire. On the last weekend of summer let me say it was a beautiful summer of ball with a good job done by the umps. We are so lucky to play in this great league.

| All games that are interrupt or can not be played because of the weather should just be a tie. I don’t know what all the whining is all about.
