| One can only imagine how many shenanigans took place over the weekend. Most teams played with short benches, zero accountability, multiple missing or injured players and unscrupulous decisions.

| On behalf of the Cairney Homes lads, congrats go out to Harding on taking it all on the weekend. Our wheels fell off the train on Saturday but that is the way it goes sometimes. You deserved the win and the Championship and had a great year. Thanks to all the executive and volunteers who make this league run and to all the umpire teams!! I felt it was a little awkward having the Championship Games at Milliken with no food or beer tent going for people to come and watch but that is just my opinion. I realize the diamonds are better to play at Milliken but the atmosphere for the finals somehow needs to be brought over as well.. Have a great winter everyone and hope to back if the hip allows it for another great season of ball!!

Don Cherry expressed doubts about the MapleLeafs' chances to win it all or is he really talking about the Starks ball team?

| Should be min 12 guys to play on the weekend. It’s unfair to play teams with ten and have other teams with 14 or more have to sit their pitcher.
Rules need to change.

| Hi everyone,
Thanks for the nice congratulations regarding the win, it was hard fought and it's not easy to get it done as the quality of men and teams in this league is above reproach. We are proud to have been able to finish the year on top of a very competitive and respectful league of men.
I must admit, it saddens me to read and hear people (Peatsum, Jets, Goldglover) commenting about the only reason that a team makes it that far is due to the amount of players available. In my opinion, while it can help to have less players in some cases, all players still must execute for 80-90 minutes, regardless of having 10,12 or 14. I know that several guys on my team, myself included, were fighting injuries and battling just to get through the weekend.
Each team we played had less than a full roster and they are outstanding teams and individual people. TAR played with 13 I believe, and they have always had a lot of success normally playing well into Sunday, this year was just not their year. Most every other team had 12 or less. Not a single team we played or spoke with had an issue with the amount of players playing.
I can admit, however, that playing with 10-12 is easier on defensive rotations, and in some cases batting, but to suggest it's the only reason a team wins is a bit foolish. A team cannot control injuries, travel, previous commitments or other variables. Further, if you have 10 players and they are not all bought in, I'd rather play with 12 that are towing the same way.
All that said, I do support discussions of how we create a level playing field and negate the impact of having a larger roster and how that may potentially influence the outcome of the games. This could be done simply by removing the defensive sit rule, but, then we are potentially creating an issue about all members not getting equal playing time in the field. How many of you would like to come out only to DH? Some yes, but others, no. I do agree with not having to make a pitcher sit, 100%.
There are multiple things to consider regarding this conversation as it could have a variety of implications on our league. As most of you know, I am about transparency and ensuring this league affords all of our members the same equality, respect and opportunity to enjoy and achieve success in a safe and fun environment.
Hopefully many of you will be out to generate further positive discussion at the AGM this year, I will see you there and please feel free to bring your ideas with you.
Cheers and all the best. Rick Seymour Harding #24
