LACK OF HITS & DEFENSE SINK HARDBALL BLACK
Any time a team has more errors than hits it is a recipe for disaster as Hardball Black lost 7-3 to the Tamiami Marlins. Hardball Black committed 4 defensive errors while mustering only 3 hits on offense. The pitching staff also allowed 6 Marlin hitters to reach via walk or hit by pitch. The game was actually closer than you would think, based on the numbers. Aggressive base running from Eddy Echeverria & Mason Tejeda accounted for two runs scored on one wild pitch in the third inning to hand Hardball Black a short lived 3-2 lead. That would be it offensively for Hardball Black and the following two defensive innings really sealed the deal. The players that accounted for the three hits were Mason Tejeda, Raul Rodriguez & Sebastian Bueno.
