Marini's gets some revenge over Benson's
Marini's opened their season with a win over Benson's, a little revenge over their loss in the finals to Benson's in the championship last season. This game was never really close as Marini's rode two home runs to victory. Standouts for Marini's include Bartolo Tiburcio going 2 for 2 with a HR, 2 runs and 3 RBI. Steve Hughes hit the other dinger going 2 for 3 with 2 runs and 2 RBI. Newcomer, Luis Torres, was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 runs and 2 RBI. Benson's couldn't get things going against John Bristol. Mike Guilbault, Stas Kondracki and Ken Shaw all went 2 for 3 with Guilbault picking up 2 RBI in the effort.
