A solid performance in match #2 by the Explosion was key for things to come. After a 4 - 0 loss to Modesto earlier in the day, the Explosion needed a big win against Ceres to not only boost their spirits but increase chances of playing for either 1st/2nd or 3rd/4th. The Explosion led 2 - 0 at halftime and scored three more goals in the second half to end the match with a 5 - 0 win. There was some great passing from Amy, Chelsea and Rebekah that led to goals by Jasmine, Katy and Jasmine. Mykayla and Rebekah each had unassisted goals.
