TO all the RBC cheerleaders and their coaches we owe a big apology. Please do not be insulted that we did not shake hands at the end of games this weekend. Some of my more experienced coaches were not there. So there were a few things that got away from us. I do apologize and wish you all the best for the 2008 season.

As we kick off our 2008 season I would like to welcome back our returning families and welcome our new families to the Cougar orgaization. I wish you and your children the best of luck this season and hope they enjoy their Pop Warner experience with our organization. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Raritan Bay Cougars. Without the help of volunteers and dedicated baord members we would not be here today. Thank you for all of your hard work. To our parents, you are the driving force. Let's keep our athletes motivate and focused. Their success is in our hands! Welcome Robert Franqui Vice President RBC

I would just like to say as a parent of a football player for a team in Old Bridge that the RBC Cougars are a Great Organization. From the organized practices starting in August to all the family fun and more. Each year they fill everyteam at every level in Cheer and Football. Each year they have successful teams to the point I heard they where going to Div 1. They are the most successful and family oriented team in Old Bridge and the Banquet they have at the Grand Marquis is the perfect way to finish a great season. I would never be for the merge and think the best situation would be for the town of Old Bridge to remain at two teams the RBC Cougars of course and the OB jr Knights.

In response to the Football Parent note: The RBC board notified the general members that at the October 25, 2007 general meeting that we would discuss the possibility of a merge of all three Old Bridge teams. We had a number of families attend this meeting and voice their opinions. The board wanted to get the feedback from the families of RBC before giving CJPW a decision. The general members voted in favor of remaining RBC and letting the other two organizations merge. The board would not have made such a big decision without the input of the general members. It has been CJPW stand that Old Bridge is in fact too large of a town to have one team, they feel it would best serve the children to have two teams.

Why are we not part of this merge of the Rams and Rebels? I keep hearing that this is a good thing for the kids of Old Bridge. So lets be part of it. I think it would be great to play now with the kids they are going to be playing with is HS. Some kids in HS said in the paper one Pop Warner team in town when he was talking about the Lambardi field. That is where they can play there games. As a parent of the Cougars why were we never asked if we want to be part of this merge? I know many of us think this is a great idea. I hope we can get some answers about this soon.

On behalf of the entire JR.Peewee coaching staff I would like to thank you for all your support this season. Whether we were playing on a cold rainy night vs WWP, on a windy cold day vs Hopewell or 2 hours away vs pottstown, the fan support we recieved this season was incredible. For us to go out to Pennsylvania and have twice the amount of fans as the local team speaks volumes. You'll never know what that meant to us, and to the children.......THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!
