Sciota August 1, 2012 10:27:04 PM Entry ID: 1981628 | Why are barley and canfields waiting to play on wednesday they have to play on Monday. Wth |
Tom G. CFE August 1, 2012 10:26:53 PM Entry ID: 1981627 | I have changed the schedule in the post below. There will be no games on Monday. The top playoffs will start on Monday the 13th. Reason is posted in the post below. |
Tom G. CFE August 1, 2012 9:34:02 PM Entry ID: 1981625 | OK, it’s never easy, so here goes. Barley and Canfield’s got rained out. The standings as of this moment are as follows: 1. Barley Creek So, the Qualifier Tournament is set for Saturday, but Teddy’s is questionable. I’m waiting for a definite in or out from them. Now, for the top, Barley and Canfield’s are going to play on Wednesday at Paradise (by laws state they get pushed back a week). If Canfield’s sweeps, they earn the 4th spot. Otherwise, they get the 6th spot, because if they split, there is a 3 way tie (Canfield’s, Rudy’s CFE) and both Rudy’s and CFE swept Canfields. Either way, Rudy’s and CFE are tied, and they split and both teams won by 1 run, so the 3rd tiebreaker, according to the by-laws (rule 15), is a one game playoff at a neutral field. So Rudy’s and CFE will also play Wednesday at a neutral field to be determined. The top playoffs will start on the following Monday. |
EITB Pocono Lake August 1, 2012 7:52:15 PM Entry ID: 1981611 | EITB wins both against ROFW |
None August 1, 2012 1:38:11 PM Entry ID: 1981542 | watch out for the tamborine man. looks like rain. push it back a week. shavers can stay home and break it in more. deadline at 5pm or later? |
None July 31, 2012 8:06:36 PM Entry ID: 1981442 | ROF watch for the green bat tomorrow!, |
Tom G. CFE July 31, 2012 4:55:20 PM Entry ID: 1981423 | By-laws state that everything gets pushed back a week if we get rained out tomorrow. If the tourney is rained out on Saturday, the #1 seed automatically becomes the 8th seed in the top bracket and there will be a 3 team tourney the following Saturday. |
Fileds of Dreams youcantbesherankocauseiam July 31, 2012 3:45:27 PM Entry ID: 1981414 | Paint the shavers for the playoffs! |
None July 31, 2012 2:32:47 PM Entry ID: 1981401 | what is the plan if the games are rained out tomorrow? |
Paradise July 30, 2012 8:50:02 PM Entry ID: 1981304 | Canfield's win both |
EITB Pocono Lake July 30, 2012 8:29:44 PM Entry ID: 1981301 | EITB wins both against Teddy's |
Secret admirerer Cantbullshitusville July 30, 2012 7:26:58 PM Entry ID: 1981293 | No juice? Cmon now. I know there's a little bit of fruit juice in that body. I can tell by that voluptuously shaped watermellon curves. |
Colucco July 30, 2012 6:13:53 PM Entry ID: 1981282 | Juice? no juice in this body, just beer fed |
None July 30, 2012 5:54:43 PM Entry ID: 1981279 | Colucco's on the clear. |
League Vet July 30, 2012 4:28:45 PM Entry ID: 1981269 | Colucco's warranty is up as well. You can't send him back either! |
Barley 01 July 30, 2012 4:10:58 PM Entry ID: 1981262 | Sorry None, not on the juice never have. But appreciate your complements for which I spend 2 hours a day in the gym, unless you were referring to Colucco because he catches for us also. |
None July 30, 2012 3:38:32 PM Entry ID: 1981254 | Barley has atleast three shaved bats on that team. So I dont want to hear that bull shit they also have a catcher who is on steroids. |
None July 30, 2012 12:55:57 PM Entry ID: 1981233 | How about we let everyone spend $150 but they're allowed to hit the ball twice? |
None July 30, 2012 12:45:17 PM Entry ID: 1981229 | By the way, if you need to spend $300 on a bat, you aren't nearly as good as you think you are. |
None July 30, 2012 12:17:58 PM Entry ID: 1981226 | Wouldn't a new bat have a one-year warranty? If not, don't buy one. After the year, getting anything approaching $150 sounds pretty generous. |
None July 30, 2012 11:28:37 AM Entry ID: 1981222 | fuck it let's just play kickball and end the bat discussion |
None+None+None NONEVILLE July 30, 2012 9:13:32 AM Entry ID: 1981200 | All the whining and pissing about the bat bullshit. Go check the scores, Barley who is the Top Team right now scored 20 runs only 4 times this year. No great shakes if there using shavers! Also has "one" player been injured because of a shaver? The last none was right, 3 years from now your going to water this league down so much there won't be a league. |
None July 30, 2012 8:22:12 AM Entry ID: 1981193 | face it, this league is in the toilet. In 3 years this league won't even exist. So enough about the bats. |
None July 30, 2012 12:12:49 AM Entry ID: 1981167 | I think Chuck was just throwing out an idea. Really not a bad one either. Let's face it. A brand new bat might cost $300 but once used you'd prolly only get $150-200, but still worth the discussion. Make all bats available to everyone to stop any unfair edge. Considering practically every team has been accused of using fixed bats, it should stop the nonsense. Here's another one. Maybe self umpire. The umps do the best they can but some are horrible and even the good one's at best are just okay. Self umpire, save $30 bucks per team per game. Then take $15 per team per game paid to the league and now the league has a broken bat fund. |
