The age groups within the ECYFL.

1. Flag: 5-7-8-10 & 11-13 Yr old also 13-14 yr old (middle school) Arena League
2. College 8-10 Yr old (Tackling)
3. Pro 11-13Yr old (Tackling)
4. Arena League: 13-14 yr old, (Tackling, Middle School)
5. Cheerleader 5-13Yr old
6. Reporter Team 5-13Yr old
7. Team Manager 5-13 Yr old
8. Ball boys & Girls 11-13 Yr old

Registration Fees

Parents with two or more kids will pay full price for one and half for all other.The ECYFL fully understand that their some parents that cannot pay the fees it taken to allow their child to play in a youth league. Therefore the ECYFL have set aside twenty-five "FREE" slots for those kids that don’t have money for registration first come base. Once used once that kid have to wait until a new list come out ( if any will be given out again)

Education
its simple GRADES First Sport second. The ECYFL believe strongly in education and put it above sport. The league will have tutors to aid anyone that need help.

Weight
There is no weight limit or restriction on any player that is heavy then other players. Everyone is eligible to run, pass and catch the ball.

Teams in the League
Our College and Pro division will wear the colors and logo of the teams below. The uniform can be current or throwback for both the College and Pro. All age group for now have four teams in each age group. Go to teams on the menu and see what conferences and division each team is in.
Flag (ages 5-7Yr old)

Pro (ages 11-14)
Raiders, Steelers, Bears, Redskins

Two playoff games (base on the # of teams in the league)

Awards
Same awards that the NCAA and the NFL issue out are the same one use by the ECYFL just think your child could be awarded the Walter Payton trophy for the best football player in the flag division or the Heisman trophy for the best College football player or League MVP for the best Pro football player or your daughter awarded the cheerleader MVP award for the best cheerleader in the flag, college and pro division or your son or daughter awarded the top award for being the best individual reporter or best reporting team. How would you like to have your child uniform RETIRED? All participate in the ECYFL have the opportunity to have their uniform retire and /or voted in the Eastern Carolina Youth Football League Hall of Fame. The league will issue out Championship ring to the winner only for the college and pro division that and more…..

Bowl Games
The Eastern Carolina Youth Football League now put you in the mood for football if your team does not make the big dance it can make a bowl game that right the College division is set up like the NCAA will have bowl game like the Rose, Orange, Sugar, Fiesta, cotton, Liberty, Gator…..etc... And that not half of it we have each team victory and fight song now you feel like you’re at a college game.

All-Star Game
The Eastern Carolina Youth Football League will end its football season with an all-star for each age group. The flag will wear their jerseys the College and Pro will wear their team helmet just like the all-game in the NCAA and NFL, can you hear the cheers.

Championship Games and Luncheon
Each team will visit hospital or nurse home, woman shelter before there luncheon this is only for the teams that make the championship game only. Our Championship game will be played under the light and will use the NFL and the ECYFL format. The Participates and their escort will be call out after that the starting lineup when the player information will be call their, position. Their school they attend, their number, (if they made the all-star or pro bowl game) their Name.

Hall of Fame
Each participate will have the opportunity to have their uniform retired and will be given to then doing the Hall of Fame game at half time. The uniform will be in a frame. Just think your kid can have three jerseys on their wall

Coaches
If there a time to be a coach its now, it’s never been a coach in any sports that do not worry. The Eastern Carolina Youth Football League have the solution to your problems the ECYFL have a coaches library it will have everything you need to help you become a better youth football coach. The coaches library will have DVD’s for flag football to tackle football, cheerleader and reporting that will teach you how to teach any position on the football team or cheerleader squads, example want to learn how to coach linebackers then go see the equipment Supervise and check out the DVD’s tape on how to teach linebackers. There no reason to say I am just out here or I do not know nothing about coaching. Learning is power and how to share that power in knowledge and when knowledge meet action teaching football become fun for both coach and players it does matter what league you’re coaching in The Eastern Carolina Youth Football League coaches library is the first place you should go if your knowledge of the game is limited. All coaches in The Eastern Carolina Youth Football League will be certified and a back ground check done on all coaches in its league.

Fundraiser
The ECYFL will have fundraiser each year to offset the cost of equipment in doing this the league need everyone helps in making this matter successful. All fundraiser information will be distributed to each player by the team parent. The Eastern Carolina Football League will also at some time have a fundraiser web site that everyone can go on it and purchase items they desire and part of the proceed goes back to the league.

Online Registration
The Eastern Carolina Youth Football League have online registration, if you’re out of town and will not be back to register your children you do not have to worry just go online to our web site at www.leaguelineup.com/ecyfl and at the top right hand corner click on register bottom and register your kid its fast quick and easy and your kid now have a spot on the team.

Tryout
Parents worry about tryout? Worry about your kid not being good enough to make the team? Worry no more in the Eastern Carolina Youth Football league there is no tryout everyone that come out and sign-up make the team. But down the road the league will set-up its league even more like the NFL with a draft the league is set-up to have a draft that all players will be draft from the college to a pro team but that further down the road but as it stand for now all participants make the team.

Volunteers
Parents if there is a need in youth sports it’s the need for volunteers if you want to see a league fold-over quickly let it have no volunteers, ones that is willing to work and help out without all the complaining. We need for every parent to volunteers doing registration your support helps the league function and run smoothly each time you volunteer and do the job that you sign up to do. Here are some areas that always need help and here how The Eastern Carolina Youth Football League does things, all volunteers will be assigned to a duty roster and a schedule will be handy to each person that volunteers. For example, the chain crew we need people for the chain crew so if you like running the chain then sign-up for that, and your team will be assigned each week to run the chains. keep in mind you're not running the chains for your kid team but for The Eastern Carolina Youth Football league program. This is just some on the help and supports the league need from its parents and there enough parents to help full each need in more league if the parents do not volunteer their team will lose that game The Eastern Carolina Youth Football League do not believe in that it’s, not for the individual team but the entire league.

Sponsorship
The Eastern Carolina Youth Football League is always looking for a good sponsor to help offset the cost of equipment. The way The Eastern Carolina Youth Football League handle sponsor is this way many leagues asks for sponsor fee for a team, not as we ask for sponsor fee for the league why? Because The Eastern Carolina Youth Football League is the only one that can sponsor teams into its league no one else cannot so, therefore, it is responsible for The Eastern Carolina Youth Football League to get a sponsor so it can take care of the teams in its league that why volunteering is so important in the league. This is not to say we're giving our kids a free ride or each parent does not have to do anything no that not the case parents have the same responsibility in the ECYFL as they did in the other league their kids played in. The term sponsor by ECYFL simply means that a coach cannot bring in a team with colors and logo not the base of the uniform set forth by the League Commissioner.
