2018 All-Star Volleyball Nov 14th

Tier 1 and Tier 2 Volleyball CISAA ALL-STAR CLASSIC
Where: Bearspaw Christian School
When: November 14th, 2018
Game Times at BPCHS: Tier 1 Girls at 4:00pm on court 1 (Athletes must check in by 3:30pm)
Tier 2 Girls at 4:00pm on court 2 (Athletes must check in by 3:30pm)
Tier 1 Boys at 5:00pm on court 1 (Athletes must check in by 4:30pm)
Tier 2 Boys at 5:00pm on court 2 (Athletes must check in by 4:30pm)
Cost: All costs will be covered by the CISAA.
· All players must wear black shorts.
· All coaches are required to fill in the missing names under their player selections. If you do not have an athlete you feel deserves to play in this game the open spot will be given to the 1st or 2nd place teams on the list. Please remember this is an All-Star game and not a grade 12 game. Send your best players and those most deserving to be named a C.I.S.A.A. All-Star!
· Teams are categorized by their Tier and ASAA classification and put together based on current CISAA league standings.
· Higher ranked teams earn more All-Star spots (in some cases)
· Games will be 2 sets to 25.
· Athlete confirmation must be made to Joël Chalifoux - joelc@webberacademy.ca at Webber Academy no later than Tuesday, October 31st at 12:00pm. Please include name and shirt size. Failure to respond by that date will void your athletes chance of participation and the open spots will be given to the top ranked teams.
· Coaches are selected from the top two placing teams in league play. Please provide coaches names and shirt size for the roster. Those teams are highlighted below.
· Team pictures will be taken prior to the start of each game.

Hosting Responsibilities
Host schools will be responsible for providing:
- game balls (if neccessary)
- scorekeepers (two per court)
- NO SHOW officials (one per court)
This applies to ALL GAMES at Host VENUE school, INCLUDING NEUTRAL SITE Matches.
All schools who host matches are entitled to reimbursement from the CISAA at the rate of $35 per match.
Sr High League Structure
Match Structure
Games shall be scheduled to be played on Monday and Wednesday Nights.
Start time for the first Match is 4PM with each teams' 5 minute full court warm up (ideally) completed before then IF the official is ready to start early.
A Match is determined by the first team to win Two of Three Sets.
A set will be played until one team reaches 25 points (in the first 2 sets) or 15 points (in a tie break set) and is two or more points above the competitors score (i.e. 25 - 23).
As set will be played into extra points if less than 2 points seperated the two teams at 25 (i.e. 25-24).
The first TWO sets are capped - at 27.
In case of a TIE after the first two sets, a third set shall be played to 15 points, win by two WITH NO CAP.
A match in al Sr High leagues consists of best of 3 sets. The winner is declared as the team to win two out of the three sets. If coaches agree to play beyond three sets, they are to be considered exhibition and have no weight in the standings.

Results from all matches considered to be exhibition will not be calculated in league standings.
