Welcome to the 2017 Football Season

The fee for football sign-ups for the 2017 season is $350.00 ($250 Try-Out and registration fee, $100.00 Fundraiser fee) The Fee is NON REFUNDABLE Once Practice starts.If a player is cut you will get all you money back except 125.00. If you have sold your Fundraiser tickets then you will only get back your registration fee of 150.00. If your child quits our is pulled off the team for any reason there will be NO refund at all after August 1st 2017. The Try-Out fee MUST be paid in full by August 4th, 2017

The entire balance for each child is due by August 11th, 2017. This will allow your child to receive his or her football equipment.

At sign-ups each parent or guardian will fill out a registration form with their child's information (one per child). After paying the tryout fee, each parent will receive a copy (pink) of the form, a hand receipt for their records and a blank physical card. The physical card must be signed by a licensed physician. Each child must have an updated physical and the card must be turned into his or her coach to be allowed to participate with the West County Spartans on July 31St, 2017. There are no exceptions to this rule!

Practice will start on Monday JULY 31ST, 2017   6pm to 8pm for football players. Football practices will be Monday thru Friday for the entire month of August from 6pm to 8pm. September 11th, the practices will be Tuesday thru Thursday 6pm to 8pm.

It is necessary for at least one parent/guardian to attend practice everyday.

Parents/Guardians will be responsible for completing at least 4 hours of volunteer time..

During tryouts your child should wear or bring the following items to practice.

1. Wear shorts or sweat pants (no jeans).
2. Wear a white tee shirt with the child's last name on the back (you can use a black marker or use iron on letters).
3. No shorts showing your child's underwear will be allowed on the field. (NO SAGGING)
4. Bring bottle water only. We find it best if you freeze the water bottle before practice as the temperature in August can reach over 80 degrees causing water to turn hot. This way your child can still enjoy drinking cold water.
5. No sports drinks will be allowed during practice. Any beverages other than Water will be disposed of. You are more than welcome to have Gatorade, etc. available to your child after practice.
6. Sneakers & Cleats are the only allowed shoe. You are only allowed to wear cleats with rubber soles no metal or detachable cleats are allowed at any time.
7. If your child has any medicine needed during practice make sure they bring it (if needed) to practice.

Olderlight Football Participants are limited to no more than four (4) at the Scout, (6 )Jr. Pee Wee, (8) Pee Wee  (8) Jr. Midget Levels. Fourteen (14) year olds are limited to ten (10) per team at the Midget level.
