• Scarborough Mens Sports and Recreation Club.(Hockey)
The SMSRC stands for the Scarborough Mens Sports and Recreation Club. This hockey league has been in existence for over twenty five years and is an awesome league, very similar to our baseball league. The players are forty and over and play Monday nights at Ice Sports at Markham Rd & Passmore - 7, 8 & 9pm. New teams are drafted every year and there is an opening night banquet where the new team lists are released, a Christmas party on the last Monday before Xmas and a final banquet where the best two teams from the five game round robin play for the championship. It is really well run and everyone gets a gift at the Xmas party and the final banquet. There are currently three food sponsors, Loblaws, No Frills, and Price Chopper.

Players from across Canada come together on the first weekend in August for a four-day tournament.
