Interested in becoming a Head Coach for the 2018 8v8 Spring Tackle season?

1st Down Athletics (1DA) is looking for volunteer coaches who are dedicated to serving as positive role models to the youth of our community. 1DA coaches are responsible for teaching players good sportsmanship, teamwork, rules and fundamental skills of the game while providing a safe and fun experience that encourages players to reach their full potential. We believe in providing the best coaching possible for the players in our organization and have developed a comprehensive coaches application and selection process for all who may be interested in becoming a head coach.

Prospective head coaches must submit a completed coaches application to 1stdownathletics@gmail.com by April 1st. 

The Coach Selection Committee will conduct an in-person interview with all candidates. Selection criteria will be based on but not limited to knowledge of the game, leadership style, ability to work with varying skill levels of youth players, acceptance of coaching criteria/expectations of the program, and previous coaching experience within 1DA and/or other youth programs.
