STRENGTH TRAINING
Subscribe to our NewsletterOFF-SEASON TRAINING - Winter 2023
Football players in grades 7-11 will begin their off season training program at Daman's Strength Training today, Monday, January 23rd. The program will last 10 weeks. Athletes in grades 9, 10 and 11 will attend on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:40-3:40 pm. All 7th and 8th grade athletes will attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:40-3:40 pm and Saturdays from 10:00-11:00 am.
We are asking your son to make every effort to attend at least 3 times each week during the times available to train. We know some players have other in-season sports, but we are receiving a group rate that we need to pay, regardless of how many athletes attend. We want to get the most out of the large amount of money we are spending. Therefore, the first priority of each football player should be a commitment to 3 days/week. The second priority is training with your assigned group. If your son has a conflict with the schedule please communicate with Coach Rowse.
Donation Request - We would appreciate a donation of $5 per workout session ($15/week) to the QB Club to offset the cost of the training for each workout your son is able to attend at Daman's. You can send this payment via Venmo (@QB-Club) or mail a check to us at P.O. Box 337, Beaver, PA 15009 each month. VERY IMPORTANT: Please DO NOT send payment into Daman's! That will NOT make it to us. This $5 donation is to help offset some of the cost per player (see invoice attached). Your help with this expense is MUCH appreciated!
DAMAN'S STRENGTH TRAINING PROGRAM 2022
Strength & conditioning training as a team has been a point of emphasis since Coach Rowse was named the head football coach. In 2021, we had a 6 week trial run with Daman’s Strength Training. The 2021 team finished with an 8-3 record. That team experienced more wins than they had in the previous 2 seasons combined and made the playoffs for the first time in 5 years. A large part of that success can be attributed to the culture change brought about through the sweat-equity earned training together at Daman's.
Owner Rick Daman spoke at our banquet about the success athletes and teams exhibit when committing to an off season training program. Coach Rowse’s strength and conditioning vision was put into place when the calendar turned to 2022. The QB Club committed to paying a Daman’s instructor to run a conditioning program at the school January through March. In April, the training transitioned to the Daman’s facility. The goal is to have our players train at Daman's for 2 more months before the start of the season.
Daman’s standard rate to train a student 3 times/week is $277/month. The Beaver Football rate is $167/month or $13.91 per player per workout. We did evaluate alternative training programs. Daman’s record of conditioning Beaver County teams and athletes to compete at a high level while remaining injury free, coupled with the proximity to the school, proved to be the best location for our players. For $14/workout, our football team has 4 trainers focused on preparing our players to compete at a Championship level.
At this time, the QB Club cannot pay for every player to participate in the Daman’s strength and conditioning program. We will fundraise our tails off to reduce costs where we can but right now we need our families to participate at whatever level you can to pay for your son’s training. If you can pay the $167/month, it will be greatly appreciated. If you can’t pay the full amount, please pay what you can and know that we are thankful. If conditioning costs are outside of what your budget permits, please let us know so we can plan accordingly. We want every player to participate and will work to ensure that this happens.
Please make checks payable to the Beaver Quarterback Club. You can mail the check to:

Payments can also be sent via Venmo @QB-Club.
Please get involved with helping to improve our players' high school football experience. THANK YOU!
