#00           Joe Martin          Midfield
"Panther" is back with the Cranx for his third season, having just completed his frehman year at WNEC via Cathedral High School, where he helped lead the Panthers to their first post-season in school history.  Martin led CHS from the midfield position, as a potent scorer while dominating at face-off X.  This All-Western Mass and three-time high school All-Leaguer saw action in 13 games for WNEC, winning  61% of his face-offs, while totaling 31 ground balls.  Panther is now ready to establish himself as a key contributor with the Cranx, with his unselfish play, scoring ability, and hard-nosed defense.  Martin's speed and endurance, coupled with his multi-sport athleticism, bolsters the already dangerous Westfield midfield.

This 5th year laxman was recruited away from his hometown team of Agawam following his freshman year playing at Mt. Ida College, where he was named Most Improved Player in 2005 as well as leading the team in scoring.  As a 3-year varsity attackman at Agawam High School, the swift-footed playmaker helped lead the team to post season play twice, while always drawing the opposition's best defenseman, often leaving him in the dust.  As a member of the Cranx, Dimaio's speed and endurance has allowed him to move to the midfielder spot, where his extra talents as a defender and clearer best suit the team's needs for maximum production.  With his solid all-around play, work ethic, and unselfish play, Dimaio is expected to bolster a solid midfield geared toward stopping opponents as well as putting points on the board.

The multi-skilled 24th year veteran has played every position in his career, including defense, attack, LSM, and midfield.  He also has earned several All-League honors, both as a defensive and offensive player.  At WHS, the three-time All Western-Mass defenseman captained the Bombers in 1991, and then went on to captain and star at Mt. Ida College.  Now, as Cranx captain, player, and coach, Robo has not only starred in his multiple roles, but has brought and kept the team at a competitive level second to none in the league.  His dedication and love for the sport extends off the field as well.  Chris owns and manages Stixx-N-Stones, a lacrosse equipment and apparel store in East Longmeadow.

"Titan" came to the Cranx after graduating from Wilbraham Monson Academy, where he captained the team his junior and senior years and was honored with the Coach's Award in 2007.  He now rejoins the team after a successful freshman year at Castleton State College, where he was the team's top face off man, helping the Spartans to an undefeated North Atlantic Conference record of 8-0 and a trip to the ECAC tournament.  Shea brings to the team a much needed brand of player: fast, tough, and skilled, with the passion and work ethic to improve.

#20         Andy Liptak         Midfield
A welcomed addition to the Cranx franchise, Andy led the 2008 Westfield High team to a 16-5 record in '08 and to the Wmass semifinals.  The 2008 Bomber team captain, team MVP, and two-time All-Western Mass midfielder brought to the Cranx a much needed combination of speed, athleticism, and scoring ability his rookie year in '08 and continued his impact in '09.  He went on to contribute immediately as a freshman at Clarkson University (N.Y.), helping the Liberty League runner-up to a 10-5 record, and then transferred to RPI for the 2010 campaign, playing a key role in their success.   As adept at playing defense and snatching up ground balls as he is a scoring threat, this third year player is expected to continue to produce at all phases of play.  A capable dodger, passer, and shooter, Liptak regularly shows consistent signs of improvement in both the physical and cerebral aspects of the game.

#21         Justin Bard         Midfield
As a Westfield High Bomber, there was nothing this player did not accomplish.  A three-time All-Western Mass attackman, midfielder, and face-off specialist, this laxstar won his team's MVP award three times, ended his career as the school's all-time leading scorer, and was named All-American his senior year.  The quick and multi-skilled offensive talent is a dangerous scorer, with the knack not only to create shots for himself, but draws enough attention from defenders that he's become equally adept at setting up his teammates to score.  The 5th year Crank and 2006 Bomber graduate was sorely missed for much of the 2008 season due to military obligations.  For '09, Bard again will only be in town to play in a few games, but once again the Cranx offense with be vastly more dangerous when he does appear between the sidelines.

#22         Tim Boersig         Attack

#31         Nick Allegretti         Defense
This 2008 rookie defenseman brought to the Cranx not only a plethora of defensive skill and stickwork ability, but a loaded resume filled with lacrosse accomplishments and awards.  Nick played his high school ball at Penfield High School (NY) where he captained his team and was named All-County all four years, twice named Empire State Player of the Year, and earned All-American honors his senior year of 2000.  From there, Allegretti took his talents to NE-10 power Bryant College, where the captain continued his successful career and his collection of hardware:  Four-time All NE-10, Four-time All-New England, Two-time New England Player of the Year, and Four-time USILA Div. II All-American.  He also became a graduate assistant coach for the Bulldogs.  The defensive specialist and take-away artist has given the Cranx the new athletic blood it needs at the position, and expectations of his dominant play quickly became well established.  His third season in 2010 expects to be much more of that same dominance.

#32          Matt Hoffman         Goal
Playing in his 11th year on the Cranx, "Hoff" has arguably become the league's best goalkeeper for several seasons now.  After a stellar WHS career which included All-Western Mass honors, the 2001 Coach's Award winner took his captainship to Assumption College, where he single-handedly brought the program from the basement dweller of the Northeast 10 to a league contender.  The three year captain and three time team MVP also earned all Northeast 10 honors his junior and senior years.  Counting former Crank goalies Rich Harrigan and Wil Pierce as two of his heroes, Matt has continued the tradition of Westfield as a goalie producing powerhouse.  With three PVLL All League awards already, it is no wonder the Cranx success largely is dependent upon the talents of the Westfield goalkeeper.

   #44         Tim Gaylord         Midfield
This rookie starred for the Westfield High Bombers during his high school career from 2005-09.  The two-year captain midfielder was a three-time All-Western Mass selection, and team MVP his senior season.  He ended his career as the Bombers second all-time leading scorer in school history.  He joins the Cranx, bolstering the midfield position with his size, speed, and physical play, which he will continue for the University of Virginia D1 club program in the fall.  Tim's quickness and athleticism should further deepen the Cranx midfield position, both on the offensive end and in the clearing game.
