Girls can wear a regulation sport headband, but NO jewelry. The referee can use his/her discretion on any other issues deemed unsafe including finger nail length.

Defense picks up the ball at half court. (4th grade division only-- defense must retreat inside the three point line until ball penetrates the three point line)

Offense retreats when defense establishes control of the ball

On foul shots, only players positioned on the lanes are allowed to enter the lane on the release.

On foul shots, the two blocks closest to the basket are unoccupied, followed by two defensive players, two offensive players, two defensive players and the shooter.

Teams play four 6-minute quarters with the clock stopping for each whistle.

Teams shoot 2 shots on the 5th team foul in each quarter.

Four full time-outs per game with one additional time-out if a 3-minute overtime is needed. Each team will be allowed two “substitution only” time-outs for the purpose of ONLY to get substitutes into the game. The game will immediately resume upon the substitution.

NO full court pressing under any circumstances.

A team has 12 seconds to get the ball past half court.

“Over and Back” rule is in effect for all games.

A 13-foot foul line will be used for the 5th grade and the 4th grade divisions. Coaches should verify spot with referee before game.

A women’s size (28.5”) basketball is to be used for all games.

If 1 minute remains in the game and the score is within 6pts or less, when the team that is ahead has the ball in the backcourt, the clock will stop. The clock will restart when the ball is dribbled or passed into the frontcourt. (4th division 3 pt line).

The primary purpose of this league is player development. Even playing time is recommended. Minimum playing time is 1 quarter (6 minutes) per game. Maximum playing time is 3 quarters. This does not change for playoffs.
- Coaches that are ejected from game will be suspended for 2 games.
