Boys' Head Coach and Club Director

Alberto Almeida

Alberto came to Sylvania Water Polo in Spring 2015 as an assistant coach to Pete Dankert.  In the fall of 2016, Alberto took over as head coach for the boys and worked as assistant to Pete for the girls' team.  He took over as club director in the fall of 2018.  He also coaches the boys' team for Glass City Polo in the winter, spring, and summer months.  For 17 years, he played water polo as a goalie for the Alberca Olimpica Francisco Marquez club in Mexico City.  His team had multiple National Runner Up or National Champion finishes during his playing time.  Alberto has also coached water polo in Mexico and Soccer for Sylvania United.

Kaeli Peer

Kaeli  has been coaching with Sylvania Water Polo since 2013 where she started as the Junior Polo instructor.  In 2014 she began coaching with the Fall High School team.  She took over as the girls' head coach for the fall 2018 season.  Kaeli is also a coach for the Glass City Polo club in the winter, spring, and summer.  Her water polo career began as a high school student at Northview High School with Sylvania Water Polo and then continued with the University of Toledo's club team.

Elouise Filas

Ellie began coaching with us in Spring 2018, helping out with the Glass City Surge spring teams. She played four years in the Sylvania Waterpolo team.  More info on Ellie yet to come...
