He stands at the plate with his heart pounding fast.
The bases are loaded, the die has been cast.
Mom and Dad cannot help him, he stands all alone.
A hit at this moment would send his team home.
The ball meets the plate, he swings and he misses.
There's a groan from the crowd, with some boos and some hisses.
A thoughtless voice cries, "This kid can't hit."
Tears fill his eyes, he just wants to quit.
So open up your heart and give him a break,
for it's moments like this that makes your head shake.
Keep this in mind when you hear someone forget.
He is just a little boy, and not a man yet.

2014 BOHSOX/WHITE SOX
In 2013 the Baltimore Bohsox/White Sox finished second in the HCMBL regular season and third in the HCMBL end-of-year tournament. The 2013 season was our first in the HMBL and we captured first place and the championship.
I know if you look outside and see all the snow on the ground, baseball may be the last thing on your mind. Not so much with your Baltimore Bohsox/White Sox. Dave Pitz (2nd year Head Coach) has been working hard putting a 2014 squad together, as well as dealing with the Harford County Mens Baseball League (HCMBL) and the Harford Men's Baseball League schedules. In addition to these two leagues, we will compete in the York Pennsylvania tournament in July. The team will begin workouts/practices in early March. Our season opener is Sunday, March 31st.
All home games in the HMBL are played at Forest Hill's Field #4. Away games are at various fields in Harford County. All games (home & away) in the HCMBL are played at Harford Community College's Sports Complex on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
