Moxieball Hall of Fame

Welcome to the UNOFFICIAL1 Moxieball Association Hall of Fame.

The MBA Hall of Fame was first conceived by League Historian Jon Reid.  Jon realized that the MBA needed some way to recognize its more storied contributors.  It is my wish that this currently unofficial Hall may some day be recognized officially by the MBA.

In a letter to the Commissioner of the MBA dated 11/26/20001, league Historian Jon Reid proposed the creation of the MBA Hall of Fame.  The HOF criteria is as follows:

1.    An Official MBA Office shall administer the MBA Hall of Fame.
2.    The Official MBA Office shall be refered to as the MBA Hall of Fame (MBA HOF)
and shall be directed by the Director of the MBA HOF.
3.    The Director shall be elected by the Voting Body of the MBA and serve an
unlimited term as is the MBA League Historian.
4.    Criteria for election into the MBA HOF:
        a.    Categories of member election:
Players, Officers, Owners, Builders, Media, Lifetime Achievement and
               Miscellaneous.
        b.    MBA HOF Voting Body
               1.    The Official MBA HOV Voting Body shall consist of any and all persons
who are registered with the MBA HOF.  Any person who wishes to be a
registered voter may do so.  Each registered voter will be allowed to
submit one completed ballot to the MBA HOF per voting period.
        c.    Ballot selection criteria
                1.    A person shall be entered on the MBA HOF Official Ballot if he/she has
exhibited superior performance in any of the member categories.
(Specific quantifying criteria may be required in the Player category.)  A
person may be entered on the Ballot only once per category per ballot
but may appear on he Ballot multiple times.
                2.   Registered Voters and MBA Members ONLY may nominate MBA HOF
                       eligible inductees.
        d.    Election Schedule
                1.    Eligible MBA HOF inductees shall be elected if he/she receives a vote
on 75% or more of the returned Ballots.
                2.    Eligible MBA HOF inductees shall remain on the Ballot if they receive a
vote on at least one other returned Ballot other than the nominator.

1 The Hall of Fame is considered UNOFFICIAL until voted upon by the voting body of the MBA.
