Team League Registration

When does the league start?

League kick-off is scheduled for October 15th, 2022. The season runs until December 17 2022. The season is based on an 8 game schedule plus playoffs.

How much does it cost?

Team                                            $1400

We are a team, what can we expect?

Teams from all academies, clubs, community associations, and churches are welcome. We provide a safe, fun and challenging indoor season for coaches and teams looking to have local, low-cost, highly competitive league competition on a weekly basis. We are fully insured, we use qualified Refs and are flexible in scheduling to ensure any team from near or far can participate without it interfering with their club or academy activities.

If you are coming from outside of our region, we offer the option to schedule double or triple header game-days to avoid traveling in the winter every week. This way you could travel once or twice a month and still have a full league schedule.

Which division will my team play in?

Depending on level of play, teams may play up or down a division. We have 5 divisions scheduled for this year;

Fourth-   U7-U9
Third-     U10-U11
Second- U12-U13
First-       U14-U15
Premier- U16-U18

The division your team will play in will be based on skill, age and size. The starting point is the birth year.  If appropriate, your team may be promoted to a higher division or may be demoted to a lower one. This is to ensure competitive games for all participants.

How many players are permitted on a team?

Team Rosters are unlimited but must be submitted prior to the start of the season. However, Game-day rosters can be a minimum of 5 players and a maximum of 12 players. This is done to ensure every player receives adequate playing time.

I've never played Futsal before. What is it like?

Futsal is the official indoor game for FIFA. We use full official FIFA Futsal rules. We play on gym floors, use a low- bounce ball and our nets are 3m x 2m. The game permits substitutions on the fly and timeouts for teams. Players have 4 seconds to restart play.  Fouls are counted, as the fifth foul results in a penalty kick from the second marker, and any subsequent foul is a penalty from the penalty marker.

Futsal is not a contact sport. This is especially helpful for young players to develop their control, their touch, their creativity and their technique. The no contact rule allows smaller or more technical players to shine without fear of bigger or more physically mature players from overpowering them on size alone.
