GAME DESCRIPTION

  1. A game consists of three (3) teams competing against each other in a five (5) inning, 45 outs game.
  2. Each team plays defense for two-thirds of an inning (9 outs) and shall bat five (5) times.
  3. An "Infield Team" and an "Outfield Team" play defense. While the "Batting Team" takes their turn at bat.
  4. All three (3) teams rotate positions for one cycle (9 outs) to complete one (1) inning.
  5. The winning team is the team that scores the most runs.
  6.  Teams can have five (5) to seven (7) people in the lineup / batting order, but only five (5) in the field during defensive innings. There are unlimited defensive substitutions.
  7. Other than the three team format, normal BEESA and USSSA slow-pitch softball playing rules apply
    (some exceptions below).

TEAM DESCRIPTIONS

  1. The "Infield Team": a five (5) person team that plays pitcher, 1st base, 2nd base, 3rd base & shortstop positions for three (3) outs in an inning.
  2. The "Outfield team": a five (5) person team that plays catcher & the 4 outfield positions for three (3) outs in an inning.
  3. The "Batting Team": a five (5) to seven (7) person team (with up to two (2) EH ‘extra hitters) team that bats until three (3) outs are recorded.

TEAM ROTATIONS

  1. Once the "Batting Team" completes their turn at bat, they assume the "Outfield Team" positions).
  2. The "Infield Team" then takes their turn at bat, while the "Outfield Team" assumes the “Infield Team” positions.
