22. Strike Zone – supplied by the league.

25. Gloves – gloves are not allowed.

26. Jerseys - supplied by league, each team must pay a fee to receive jerseys.

30. Team and Game Regulations

31. Team/Player Requirements – Teams must have at least 2 players to play a game. All players on the team’s active roster may be in the lineup in a game. Any batters who are not in a designated fielding position shall be considered Extra Hitters. Extra hitters are treated the same as the fielding positions for defensive substitution purposes and may be freely rotated.

32. Pitcher Rotation – In the regular season, pitchers can only pitch 6 innings in a series (excluding extra innings). No inning limitations in playoffs. If a pitcher was pulled in a game, they cannot return in that same game.

33. Pitch Speed – no speed limit, pitchers may throw as easy or hard as desired.

34. Counts – Counts are 4 balls, 3 strikes.

35. Series – There will be 3 games played in each series. A series is three 3-inning games, with one team being the home team for 2 of the games, and away for the other.

36. Run Limit – In the 1st and 2nd innings, only a maximum of 6 runs can be scored. But, if a team scores their 6th run before the play is dead, another runner on base may score and it will count. For example: Batting team scored 5 runs in the 1st inning. Runners are on 2nd and 3rd in the 1st inning. The player up to bat hits a double, scoring the runners on 2nd and 3rd. Both runs count, and the team up to bat has 7 runs. Teams can score up to 9 runs in a single inning (if a grand slam is hit with 5 runs already scored in the inning).

37. Mercy Rule – If a team goes up by 20 runs, the game is over. This can only be in the 3rd inning due to the maximum run rule in the 1st and 2nd innings.

38. Team Tardiness – If a team does not have enough players to field a team within 15 minutes past the scheduled start time, the team present wins via forfeit by a score of 5-0.

39. Forfeiting – The only way a team can forfeit a game is if they do not have enough players to physically play a game. If a team only has 2 players available, they are expected to play.

301. Leaving/Injured Players – If a player starts the game, they must finish the game, or they are considered an automatic out when they are due up. If the team has a substitute not in the current lineup, but on the active roster, they can sub him into the game in place of the leaving or hurt player. Players do not have to play all 3 games in a series.

Comment: If a player is injured the Committee will determine if it will be automatic out or an unplayable injury.

302. Extra Innings – If a game if still tied after 3 full innings, the game will go to extra innings. Beginning in the 4th inning the last out of the previous inning will start on 2nd base.

303. Moving Dates of games: Games will need to be moved of 1 of the 2 following occurs. 1: Rain, if the weather conditions are unplayable then the game will be rescheduled in that same week. 2: If a team has no players available to show up. If on the given date a team does not have enough available players to field a team, the date will be moved so that the team can be accommodated and still give a good series in case of closeness in standings.

304. Bucket: If a ball is put in play and hits the bucket, the play is automatically dead. All runners advnace 1 base.

40. Pitching

41. Speed – No speed limit.

42. Grips and Styles – No use of any substance may be used. Any type of throw (overhand, underhand, etc) is allowed. No deforming or altering the ball.

43. Balks – There are no balks. Pitchers must have their foot in contact with the pitcher’s mound when releasing the ball.

50. Batting

51. Bunting – No bunting is allowed.

52. Strikes – A pitch is a strike when the ball hits the zone without hitting anything else first (ground, or batter). A strike will be called if the batter intentionally leans over the zone in the way of the ball. 3 strikes result in an out.

53. Ball – a ball is called if the pitch does not hit the zone, or if it hits another object before hitting the zone. A ball is rewarded if the batter is hit by a pitch and does not lean over the zone. 4 balls result in a walk.

54. Hit By Pitches – There are no hit by pitches, they result in a ball. If a batter intentionally leans over to be hit by a pitch, a strike is awarded.

55. Foul Tips – A ball which is hit by the batter that then hits the zone without touching another object results in a strike. If this happens with 2 strikes, the batter is out. If there is 0 or 1 strike, it is a foul ball and the play is dead.

56. Foul Ball Arc – A line will be set up 10 feet from the plate with cones. If a hit ball does not reach the line, it will be a foul ball. A ball touched on the line is a fair ball.

60. Baserunning

61. Leads/Steals – There are no leads, and no steals allowed.

62. Ghost Runners – If a team is playing with less than 4 players, ghost runners may be utilized. All ghost runners must be forced to advance to the next base by the batter-runner, and a force out at a base for the ghost runner can be made if the fielder completes the force play before the batterrunner that is forcing the ghost runner reaches first base

Comment: The bases are loaded, but a ghost runner is on first base because a team only has three players and one of them must bat. A ground ball hits the left fielder, who grabs the ball and steps on second base before the batterrunner gets to the first base. The ghost runner is forced out at second, and the batterrunner is safe at first on a fielder's choice.

63. Pegging – Fielders may throw the ball at runners. If they are hit, the runner is out. After a runner is hit by a ball, the play is still alive. If a runner is standing on the base and is hit, they are safe.

64. Zone – If a runner is attempting to score, the fielders may get them out by hitting the zone. If a fielder throws the ball and hits the zone BEFORE the runner reaches home, the runner is out. If a fielder throws the ball and misses the zone, every runner is awarded 1 base. The play is automatically dead after a fielder attempts to throw the ball at the zone to get a runner out, regardless of the outcome.

65. Pinch Running - If a player reaches base, another teammate may run for them if desired. However, teams may not use ghost runners if they have 4 players present.

66. Players may change the base in which they run on with other teammates.

Comment: If the bases are loaded, and players want to put have the player who is on 3rd base to run on 1st base, they may do this. Players may not decide to use a ghost runner instead of a player.

70. Outs/Fielding

71. First Base – If the ball is put in play, the fielders attempt to get the batter out at first base. There is no pitcher’s hand. Standard baseball rules apply.

72. Dead Ball – When the ball is put in play, the play is deemed dead once the pitcher or fielder is standing with the ball near the mound.

73. Tagging – Runners may tag up to advance bases.

74. Infield Fly – There is no infield fly rule. Fielders may intentionally drop a ball.

The bracket will consist of semifinals between the 1 seed and the winner of the Wild Card game, and the 2 and 3 seeds. The winner of these two series will play eachother in the World Series. Each playoff series is played the same as a regular season series, except if a team wins the first two games, game 3 will not be played.

92. Standings – Standings are determined by best to worst record after the season. Every team plays everyone once during the season in a 3-game series.

93. Tiebreakers – In the event that 2 or more teams have the same record, the tiebreakers will go off, 1) Head-to-head matchup, 2) Most Series Wins 3.) Any Sweeps (Example Team 1 and Team 2 have a record of 8-7 but Team 1 win the Head-to-head they will get the higher seed. (Note: until the league expands, tiebreakers will not have to be used as every team plays each other 3 times).

94. Eligibility – Any rostered player is eligible to play in the playoffs. Once the playoffs start you cannot add anyone else to the roster. Players must be added before the start of the playoffs.
