The 1^st ever SHW wiffleball draft will take place tonight at 7pm. Food will be served at 715 at Timeout Sports Bar in Mt. Lebanon Shops. This is the first ever live event South Hills Wiffleball has ever hosted.

              The Scrappers own the first pick after finishing in last place the previous year. They finished 6-9. The Scrappers look to improve, they traded for Mark Wetmiller in a deal that involved Ryan Hazlett and Ethan Marchese.  The Scrappers also obtained the 5^th pick from this deal from the runner up Jokers.

              The Knights have the 2^nd pick after a tough game loss to the Yoties. The Knights have been devastated this offseason. Jake Monroe and John Zielger have left the organization. The knights have 2 big holes to fill.

              The 3^rd pick belongs to the Silverbacks. Jake Monroe joined the team and gets to join Silver Slugger Dakota Romantino. The Backs finished in 3^rd and lost in the semifinals to the Jokers the Previous Year.

              The Grays have the 4^th pick and they look to improve off a semifinal finish in 2025. They were the only teem that had a record over .500, they finished the regular season with 11 wins. They look to add depth to a loaded roster.

The Final Pick of the Draft belongs to the defending champs, the Yoties. They had to play quite a bit of guys last year and look to add insurance to a team that is coming off their best season as a franchise.

The regular season has concluded, and the playoffs are set. The top 3 teams secure a spot, the 4 and 5 teams battle it out in a play in game for the 4 seed, and the 6 seed is eliminated. The final standings are the following:

Grays 11-4

Jokers 7-8

Flamingos 7-8

Knights 7-8

Yoties 7-8

Scrappers 6-9

Note: The tiebreaker for the 7-8 teams was the following: Sweeps (Jokers had 1, other teams had 0), Series Wins (Flamingos, Knights, and Yoties all had 2), Run Differential (Flamingos had the best, followed by the Knights and Yoties)

SHW will be competing in the NWLA Tournament later this month. The league will send an all-star team to compete in the National level tournament.

Each team has played 12/15 games, and there is a lot on the line in the final series of the year for each team. There are a total of 64 different seeding scenarios that could occur depending on how the final games turn out.

The South Hills Wiffleball Season will begin in 40 days, with an opening day matchup between last years Runners-up, the Grays, and the Scrappers, who are coming off a winless season.

Rosters have been almost finalized, and several key players signed with other teams, and several free agents have also joined the league.

After a quiet offseason, the SHW Instagram announced a new team will be joining the league in the 2025 season. The Flamingos will join the league and be owned by former Jokers player and 2024 Silver Slugger and Rookie of the Year, Dakota Romantino. 

The Knights tookdown the Grays in a wild World Series to capture their first ever ring.  All the statistics from the season are in, and can be found under the standings tab.
