After 4 months of hard work in the off-season, a couple broken bats, many grounders, lessons, and batting workouts, IT IS TIME! The Gametime Stars 01 came to play this tournament, but mother nature had other plans.  The good news:  We scored 4 runs and allowed 0 runs in.  The bad news:  It rained after that and the tournament was done.  Let's get ready for the St Paddy's Day at Firelake in Shawnee next weekend!  Pool/Bracket

The Stars have been pounding and crushing the ball this week! We had some great stats too!  We scored 13 points and allowed 10.  The amazing part is we got 26 hits and allowed our opponents to hit the ball only 11 times!  And our pitchers struck out 44 batters and their pitchers struck out only 19 of ours!  Beats me why we didn't win this one?  We are a team ready to come out and win though.  See you all in Texas next week! Hear Yeah! Hear Yeah! This tournament should be renamed the Klondike Madness!  Why?  because it almost felt like playing ball in the Klondike! 
The GTStars01 started out playing the Austin Storm 01 team and facing a pretty good pitcher.  We struggled through the Storm when we didn't start off so well.  But with a comeback drive and some skill, the Stars managed to win 4 games straight.  We finally ended against the Texas Glory Blue, in 42 degree temperatures and 30 mph winds, and a 1-3 lose.  On a warmer day we probably would have beaten em! Well it started with a BANG and ended with a FIZZLE. The GT Stars 01 went through all the pool games and defeated all the teams that crossed their path. But Sunday morning came and turned that all around for us. After 3 straight head-to-head scoreless innings with our friends from the Riot, and the GT Stars 01 putting the the ball in play 12 times (with only 2 hits), the big "E" brought an avalance of runs on us in the 4th. Del City Ball Park time with 16 teams! You want to be the best, you got to play the best.  And playing some of the best in this tournament we certainly did.  The Stars defeated the Twisters and another 12A team very handily. But the Gators and Exclusive still eluded us.  We had the Exclusive the on the ropes, and saw some exuberant anger from the HC as a result, but couldn't pull the KO.  Let's keep jabbing! The Gametime Stars 01 continue to COMPETE!  We are chasing the best teams and met up with our friends the Gators again coming short 4-6.  And with another great competitive team, the Vendetta 01 from Tulsa and came short 1-3.  Let's add a few more beans to our bats and keep working for the gold! The Gametime Stars 01 break through has occured! You need to play the best to become one the best! Then you learn to compete and compete well. This is the Gametime way that our 3X National Championship sisters have shown us!
We met up with our friends the Mustang Gators again this weekend and defeated them twice.   We also met with the NW Arkansas Knockouts and one of the best pitchers from that region defeating them in a 1-0 shutout leading to the championship game. The Knockouts showed a vengance of glory in the championship to take the tournament. Should have been an IF game, but the TD decided at the last minute on a TBA to not. Great tournament! We are taking a break and will be in Ardmore on May 18th.  ...Bracket

The Gametime Stars 01 really liked heading South this weekend! We got to put away our winter jackets, work our summer tans, and we got to play some ball! And play ball we did! In all the Gametime Star ladies scored a total of 48 RUNS and only allowed 11 RUNS to score! We only got 3rd place out of it, but with 15 teams in the tournament, and considering how far we've come this season, we are calling this a success! So let's go take our game to Kansas City next week ladies where there's 30 teams for us to play with! Kansas City here we come!  ...Pool  ...Bracket

Due to the May 20th tornado disaster in Moore and it's effect on our Gametime family, we regret we had to drop out of this tournament!

The Gametime Stars 01 really had a venturous weekend! Saturday games were all cancelled because of a huge Friday night storm that dropped many tornadoes and funnel clouds. But as Oklahoma's we know how to get through it. And games were all resumed on Saturday. We welcomed all the out of town teams that have come to our city to watch the College Women World Series and we really enjoyed playing them! And yes, we won the championship! We got to play teams from Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas, and 3 teams from Texas! Thank you all for coming to our beloved state. We really enjoyed playing you and look forward to playing you again. LET'S KEEP IT WARM! The Gametime Stars 01 are working that peak through the State and Nationals tournaments!  All the numbers were there in the pool where we achieved the #2 seed with a 29 RF and 7 RA, but sometime officials have a hard time counting and gave us the #3 seed.  Sure was a funny smell out at that park?  Oh well!   Let's move on and get ready for State!  ...Bracket

WE LOVE SOFTBALL! This is the time where all the Gametime Stars teams know its the beginning of the end of the season. This is what we've built our year around since last November. What a success! Overall we scored 26 runs, and we only allowed 2 runs to come in!  But, unfortunately it rained on the last day when we were to play the finals and championship.  I'm going to mark this a first place tie with the other team we would have competed with anyways.  Let's all get ready to go to Iowa and bring our game there! ...Bracket

This is what we have all been preparing for. The World Series in Des Moines, IA.  We've worked and sweated for months. We have made leaps and bounds in improvements in our game! In the end we went 4 Wins and 3 Loses in the World Series, and 42 Wins and 23 Loses during our whole season.  It's time to regroup and get back to work.  Next year is a new year and we will be back stronger to do it better!  This was our development year and next year will be our year to challenge! ...Bracket
