NSA E Qualifier at Softball City

May 22, 2011
This Qualifier had 8 teams in it and they broke the teams down into 2 Seperate pools. The 1st and 2nd place team from each pool would advance to a 1-n-out tournament after the round robin. Are first game in the round robin part was against Main Event and the bats were awake enough to help us overcome 4 errors on the defensive end to get a 13-8 win. The next game for us was against M&J and are gloves got much better in this one as they lead us to a 17-7 run rule victory to move us on to 2-0 in are pool and in 1st place. The final game of the round robin was against Southwest Ohio Ducks and are gloves were nothing short of spectacular as we got another run rule victory after with a score of 13-1. We were led by some pretty impressive pitching by Nick Ziegler in this one and throughout the whole tournament. After going 3-0 in are pool we got the one seed in the tournment and are first game was against Phat Katz the 2 seed from the other side. Are bats fell asleep in this one but, we were saved by some pretty big defensive plays like an unassisted inning ending double play from Dustin Martin(who had 8 Put outs in this game) and an inning ending double play from are Left Center Fielder Adam Ruth who made the catch in left field then fired home were Mike Mcgrath applied the tag to nail a runner at home and get us out of a jam! Plays like those helped us win a low scoring affair of 8-6 and advance to the finals. In the finals we were playing M&J again as they rallied all the way back to try and get revenge on us and win the tournament. They started the championship game out hot as we found ourselves down in the bottom of the 6th 12-10 but in that bottom of the 6th are bats ignited as we dropped a 12 spot on them to win 22-12 and earn are World Berth!!!!!! We had a lot of guys that had a good tournament today thats how we were capable of run ruling 3 out of the 5 games we played en route to a 5-0 record and 1st place, but these guys stood out a little more than the rest.

Our Team Stand Outs were:
MVP
Adam Rauch 12-16(.750)AVG, .765 OBP, .813 SLG, 4R, BB, 11-1B, 2B, 6 RBI's, 3 A

Lindsey Sendelbach Memorial Tournament

June 4, 2011
We started the tournament off aginst Lloyd a game in which we played very well. We won this contest 24-4, a run rule affair that only lasted 4 innings. In this game our 3 through 7 hitters were a combined 14-16 obp, thats quite impressive! Are next game was against 5 time defending champion, Schultz Builders and it was a nail bitter. We found ourselves in the bottom of the 7th with two outs Mike Eten on 2nd base, Paul Van Benschoten on 1st, Adam Rauch at the plate, and in an 11-11 game. Adam Rauch delivered just as he has done all year driving in the run to advance us to the winners brackett finals with a 12-11 win. In the winner brackett finals we played Guidugli's Lawn Care and found ourselves in another tight contest. It was 13-13 going into the 7th inning when guidugli's caught fire and dropped 11 runs on us to win the game 24-13 and put us in the losers brackett. In the losers brackett final we were up against T&W Electric and are bats came out hott as we scored 14 runs in the first 2 innings but they sizzled out quickly as we were only able to manufacture 1 more run the rest of the game on a sac fly off of the batt of Mike Eten to drive in Mark Gindele. That one run ended up being the deciding factor as we held on to win 15-14 and advance to the championship game! Now in this tournament there is no double dip, its a one game no holds bar winner takes all. So we had to be all business to try and knock off Guidugli's because they were pumped up for this game, but they weren't as pumped up as the bottom of are order. Are 8 through 12 hitters all went 3-4 obp in this game to carry us on to a 18-10 win which made the 2011 LINDSEY SENDELBACK CHAMPIONS with a record of 4-1!!!!!!
Our Team Stand Outs were:
MVP
Paul Van Benschoten 10-15(.667)AVG, .750 OBP, 1.000 SLG, 10R, 5 BB, 6-1B, 3-2B, 3B, 7 RBI's, 10 PO, 6 A
Co-MVPAdam Rauch 12-18(.667)AVG, .700 OBP, .667 SLG, 9R, 2 BB, 12-1B, 7 RBI's, 3 PO, 2 A
Honorable Mention Joe Williams 9-14(.643)AVG, .588 OBP, .813 SLG, 4R, BB, 6-1B, 2-2B, 3B, 11 RBI, 2 SF

NSA E Bluegrass Games

July 16, 2011
This year in the bluegrass games there were 40 teams that entered and i was pumped to see a tournament that big again. What i wasn't excited about was that 4 of are starters weren't going to be there to start saturday and are All Tournament Team Player from E state last year was going to leave early. But thats the way it goes some times you just gotta find a way to persevere through it and get the win, something we weren't able to do in are first game though. That game was against Ballhawks and in the bottom of the 6th inning we had a commanding lead but perceeded to make 5 errors allowing 7 runs to score in an inning when they shouldn't have scored at all. That was enough for them to go onto a 16-13 win and put us in the losers brackett. Going to the losers brackett in the 1st round of a 40 team tourney is one way to make sure you'll get your moneys worth of softball because you'll be playing all weekend long. Knowing that we had to get serious, and that we did beating Creepers 15-6 in a game in which we had the lead for its entiretity. Are next opponent was dirty laundry and the bats went cold on us but the gloves had carried over from the last game and we were able to win a 7-6 defensive struggle. We had 2 more games to play to make it till sunday but are next game was against Lites Out Softball and they had other plans. They ripped the cover off of the ball beating us 18-6 in a game where we never really got going. We finished 2-2 good enough for a tie for 16th place, definently not what we had in mind. Lets hope state goes a little better for the ole' ball club.

Our Team Stand Outs were:
MVP
Mike Reilman 8-13(.615)AVG, .615 OBP, .769 SLG, 2R, 7-1B, 3B, 10-RBI's
Co-MVPJoe Williams 9-13(.692)AVG, .714 OBP, .769 SLG, 5R, BB, 8-1B, 2B, 3-RBI's
Honorable Mention Justin Schalk 8-13(.615)AVG, .615 OBP, .846 SLG, 4R, 6-1B, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI's

NSA E State Tournament

August 6, 2011
In the 2011 Kentucky Mens E NSA State Tournament we played R2L for are first game and it was a defensive struggle that we squeezed out a 5-3 victory in. We did that behind some great defense and pitching. We then played Screwballs and are bats woke up as we went on to a run rule victory 19-5 in 5 innings led offensively by are new addition Ryan Vaughn who went 3-3 with 3-1B, 4 RBI's and a run scored in this game. We had another great picthing performance out of Nick Ziegler and some solid gloves behind him. Are next game was in the Elite 8 and we had to play Playersville something that didnt work out well for us, as we got beat handly 17-1, dropping us to the losers brackett. In the losers brackett we had to play After Hours bright and early Sunday morning and we scored 9 runs in the first inning and 1 in the bottom of the 5th to carry us on to a 10-0 run rule victory. We then had to play a familar foe in M&J and we lost on a contreversial call at the plate against a real good team 5-4. We finished 3-2 good enough for 7th place 6 spots short of are goal though.
Our Team Stand Outs were:
MVP
Justin Schalk .750 AVG, .750 OBP, .778 SLG, 3R, 3-BB, 5-1B, 2B, 5-RBI's, SF, 2 PO
Co-MVP Mike Reilman .692 AVG, .692 OBP, .923 SLG, 8R, 7-1B, 2B, 3B, 4-RBI's, PO, A
Honorable Mention Mike Eten .625 AVG, .727 OBP, .625 SLG, 4R, 3-BB, 5-1B, 2 RBI's, 5 PO, 7 A (All with a strained oblique and running at about 50 percent!)

E NSA World Series

September 11, 2011
We went into are first ever world tournament missing several key players but started it off right with a first round bye. Then beating are first opponent Venom 15-10 are defense wasn't as good as it was all year but are bats were awake. After that though things got rough in a hurry as we lost in extra innings 13-12 to Team tragic and never recovered mentally getting worked 17-7 by kaspers in the next game. We finished 17th out of 42 teams which isnt terrible for are first world but still a major disappointment for us!
Our Team Stand Outs were:
