2008 Tournament Results

Groundhog Tournament

To start of the 2008 season we played in the groundhog we finished tied for a fifth place. With a 1-1 record we won the first game against Mitches Bitches 4-3. Then lost the second game against Big Pete's House of Munch 11-1. It was an overall good start to the year! Hopefully the bats will be a little more lively come regular season time!

Lindsey Sendelback Memorial Tournament

June 7, 2008

We finished 2nd this year after a third place finish last year. Our first game was against Ritter and we won 14-4, ten run rule. Then we had two time defending champs Schultz Builders we pulled out an 18-11 victory and were on a roll! Following that we had Sanker and just crushed the ball winning 21-8 moving us into the winner brackett finals for the first time ever! There we had to face Guidugli's who we beat 15-13 in 8 innings they would go on to finish third. For the tournament finals which is a one and out game(you don't have to double dip coming out of the loser brackett) we played Schultz Builder's again and they went on to win 15-7 to become three time defending Champions! All in all it was a great tournament.

NSA D/E Qualifier

We finished 2nd in the Qualifier and won our unpaid National's and World Berth! It was a rough road to get there after losing our first game to Boo's Raiders 12-11 on 4 Homeruns which resulted in three runs for them(due to NSA homerun rules)! So from there on we had to play from the bottom of the losers bracket. First up was Big Pete's House of Munch we managed to win that one 13-3 and move on to play The Green Machine! We took care of them in a close game with the final score being 12-5. It was on to the loser bracket finals from there. Where we were matched up against Mulligan's Pub and pulled out the 6-4 victory to move on to the Championship game. The Championship game was a rematch of us versus Boo's Raiders they took away the win and the tournament with a final score of 8-3! So we finished the day in 2nd place(but we were the highest finishing E team) with a 3-2 record! Our congradulations goes out to Boo's Raiders on there victory and we wish them luck in the rest of there season!

NSA State Tournament

We started off our first ever state tournament, at Kentuckiana Ball Park, very nervous and tight and it showed as we lost to a team we never should have! Then we had some beers, conversation, threw a little corn hole, and settled down a little and got on a little bit of a roll rattling off the next two games behinnd the bats of Jeff and Mike and some great defense all the way around. But as the sun went down so did are hitting and we lost to a team out of maysville that just simply out hit us!
