RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES - COURSE DESCRIPTION

Recreation is an activity of leisure, leisure being discretionary time. The "need to do something for recreation" is an essential element of human biology and psychology. Recreational activities are often done for enjoyment, amusement, or pleasure and are considered to be "fun".

In this course, students will acquire knowledge and skills needed to participate in various recreational activities to help maintain and/or improve health-related fitness.  Activities may include, but are not limited to:  Basketball, Volleyball, Flag Football, Ping Pong, Soccer, Fitness Activities, Bean Bag Toss, Kick Ball, etc...  Activities may be indoors, or outdoors depending on facility availability, and weather.

MAKE-UP ASSIGNMENT FOR MISSED PARTICIPATION

Did you miss a day that we participated in recreational activities?  If you were absent (for what ever the reason) or if you just didn't participate, you may make up the missed day.  

To make up a missed participation day, you must participate in a recreational activity outside of school.  You can work-out at home, with a team, a fitness center, your neighborhood, or a park.  You must work-out in a recreational activity for 1 hour for each class period missed, and document your work-out on the form below:
