Notes:
North Hagerstown moved into the MVAL-Piedmont Conference for the 2007 season. The Hubs also beefed up their non-conference schedule, adding powerhouse Allegany, Hertiage from Leesburg, VA, and Musselman from West Virginia. North got off to an ugly start, dropping their first five games, including two losses as time expired. The turning point of the 2007 season came against new conference foe Middletown. The Hubs played a flawless second half, defeating the Knights for the first time in 14 seasons, 34-21. The Red & Black won four of the last five games to finish the season strong. The Hubs capped the '07 campaign with a 27-20 victory over cross-town rival South Hagerstown---their fifth straight in the series. This game marked the first time in series history North hosted the annual city showdown.

Notes: The 2006 Hubs returned to the playoffs as they went 7-3 during the regular season with a potent offense that averaged 33.1 points per game. North opened the '06 campaign with another shootout victory over Liberty, 40-26. In that game, the Hubs set the single-game team record for total offense, finishing with 577 yards. Senior Marcellus Sumlin also broke a mark, recording the longest TD run in school history, 91 yards. After dropping the next two games to Frederick schools, the Hubs opened conference play with a rousing 53-7 victory over Smithsburg. LB Cadyn Robinson led North to a shutout victory over Brunswick, breaking the single-game tackle record (23). The following week QB Logan Kelso was the record-breaker, throwing a single-game record five TD passes in a 48-0 win over Williamsport. In the most disappointing game of the season, the Hubs fell at Boonsboro, 14-7. That loss motivated the Hubs as they reeled off four straight victories to clinch a playoff spot. The Hubs pounded Clear Spring in the rain, 49-6. On November 3, 2006, North Hagerstown play their first true home game in school history as they opened Mike Callas Stadium with a 49-36 victory over Catoctin. The next week was also a monumental game, marking the 50th edition of the North-South game. The Hubs struggled early, then rolled to a record breaking 44-0 win over the Rebels to clinch the #3 seed in the 2A West playoffs. North would travel to Francis Scott Key to seek redemption from a 2004 playoffs loss there. The Red & Black would get it---dominating the Eagles 27-7 to advance to the 2A West Finals. Middletown was up next for the Hubs. North surprised Middletown early, but the Knights were just too much as they pulled away for a 43-24 victory, ending the Hubs season at 8-4. Several records were set during the 2006 season including Logan Kelso completing 97 passes for 1605 yards and 19 TD's, Jarell Hasan catching 13 TD's, and Cadyn Robinson ending with 156 tackles. Kelso also set career marks in all three major passing categories.

Notes: The 2003 season can only be summed up as "unbelievable". After a rough 2002 season where the Hubs only won two games---including a 39-0 thrashing from South---the expectations were pretty low for '03. Coach Cunningham dubbed the 2003 Hubs as the "New Breed", refering to a new attitude of winning for North. The Hubs started the season by defeating Southern Garrett 27-8, breaking a 14-year streak of opening game losses. North defeated Hedgesville 25-6, then rang up 45 points on a solid Frederick team. The six of the next seven were MVAL-Antietam Conference games. 2003 was the first season of the expanded 21-team MVAL. In the first conference contest, North routed Williamsport 52-14, tying a school record for points. North defeated Boonsboro 34-14 to break the school record for best start, then rolled past Brunswick 20-0. Catoctin gave the Hubs the toughest test, but in a wet rainy game North prevailed 26-21. A non-conference victory at FSK, finally showed the Hubs were for real by improving to 8-0. Smithsburg fell to North 35-6 in the ninth game, then North had some unfinished business in the finale. South Hagerstown smashed the Hubs 39-0 in last season's intra-city battle, but this was the "new breed" of Hubs. North rolled to a series record 41-0 victory over South and entering the playoffs at a perfect 10-0. The Hubs would meet an old foe from way back, the storied Fort Hill Sentinals. North walked away with a 33-13 victory, advancing to play South Carroll. The Hubs and Cavs played to nip-and-tuck game through three quarters, then the wheels of the Big Red Machine fell completly off. SC scored at will in the final period, ending the greatest season to date in North Hagerstown football history. The "Three-Headed Monster" of Bryan Slater, Derrick Keith, and Rigo Valentin led the North ground attack for a school record 3267 yards. The defense was led by Keith, Dean Staley and sack-master John Kline. Coach Cunningham racked up all post season coach of the year awards, while leading the revamped Hubs to a 11-1 record and the MVAL-Antietam Conference Championship.

Notes: The Hubs entered a new era with the hiring of former North QB Danny Cunningham. The new head coach led the Hubs to fours wins with a young team that included basketball star Scott Rice, playing for the first time. Rice played like a veteran, breaking several INT marks as a safety and gave North a deep threat as a receiver, while picking up numerous post season honors. The Hubs finished 4-6 overall and 4-5 in the MVAL, good for 6th place.
