Cole played baseball for the PCHS Bears from 2002-2005. After graduation, Cole attended Brewton Parker College then transferred to and graduated from the University of Georgia. Upon graduation from UGA, Cole took a job in the Long County school system where he served as the junior varsity head coach and assistant varsity baseball coach at Long County High School for the 2010-2011 school year.
In 2011, Cole moved into the Pierce County school system taking the position as assistant softball and assistant baseball coach at Pierce County Middle School.
Cole became the head baseball coach for the 2013-2014 school year where the Bears finished the 2014 season as the Conference Runner-Up in the Southeast Georgia Middle School Athletic Conference. After losing nearly the whole team which consisted of eighth graders last year, 2015 turned into a rebuilding year with the Bears stumbling a little during the year finishing with a 10-3 record and third place in the conference playoffs.
