Wickliffe Baseball League Meeting - 11/17/2016

Also present:
Motion by Levon to approve the meeting minutes of October 20th, seconded by Pugh. Brandt wanted three items (Dropbox, Survey, Equipment Safety) that were discussed to be added to the minutes. Minutes were approved including the addition of the three items.
Officer Reports:
VP – Games Show Night has been booked with the I&A Hall for Friday, February 24th
Treasurer– Novotney announced the income/expense report for October 2016, which is stated below.
1) Checking account balance - $7,359.18
2) Savings account balance - $1,616.77
3) Cooperstown 2017 - $4,242.76
4) Other Savings / Clinics - $842.28
5) Nationals 2016 (14U) - $315.00
6) Ripken 2016 (12U) - $250.57
We paid a $100 deposit to the Game Show Guyz for Game Show Night. Rossman gave Novotney checks from the 2016 10U tournament team. Ed Zivnoska is in the process of collecting the other checks.
Secretary – Levon emailed out a first draft of a yearly timeline to the board. He is looking for input from each position if there are duties that should be added, modified or deleted.
Equipment Manager – Krizner checked with OLMC & St. Williams and found out that their first communions were on May 6th, so having our opening day on April 29th should work.
Umpire in Chief – No report
Player Development Manager – Motta is looking at potentially having a hitting and pitching clinic in January based on the high school gym’s schedule. High school players and coaches should be there to help. He is also looking at having a coach’s clinic in March once we have determined who the team manager’s are.
President – Pugh stated that he plans on talking to Mike Cackowski about bringing the ownership of the WBL website domain back to the league. Currently Mike owns it and pays for it.

Shirer stated that Mickey Callaway, the Cleveland Indians pitching coach, is willing to speak to our players about pitching for an hour at no charge sometime in January.
