9/6/25 - RESULTS FOR CMAC DEVELOPMENTAL MEET @ BATTLE ELEMENTARY - COLUMBIA

Great weather, great audience, awesome little athletes, new cool venue... not much more to ask for right?  Thanks to all that came to compete and spectate to support.  The weather was already feeling rather fall-like, with a little wind towards the end.  Very pleasurable for a day of running for the young athletes.

This was just a developmental meet; so each age group will be moving up another Kilometer for the Fulton meet.  But after that, the 13-14 year olds will add yet another Kilometer for the last 3 CMAC meets pushing them to a 4K.  Challenges are ahead.  Fulton will provide that as it is partially a high school course.  Please begin training and preparing your athletes accordingly because more hilly days are ahead!

People seemed to do most of the expected rule following for CMAC at the developmental meet.  Be sure to NOT run alongside your kids / athletes.  Pacing can be a disqualification and cost your team.  Don't let that happen please.  Also, any meet going forward you need to be sure to pay attention to and follow their rules and expectations.  They put them in place for a reason... and often one of the major reasons is safety, and the other is fairmness for everyone.  Be respectful please of those; but also look over your rules in the general information handout that should have gone out to you all.

Something that needs to be mentioned is if you have an athlete that has to pull out of a race during a race (injury, breathing, etc...) please let it be known at the finish line and the registration table.  They will need the name, gender, bib number, team, and birth year.  Thank you.

As announced at the meet, there will be a CMAC All Star / All Squad practice taking place in Columbia on Saturday, September 13 at Smithton Park (across from Smithton Middle School - 3501 W. Worley) at 10am.  This is a great chance for them to get to meet one another, make friends and find new positive challenges produced within their new and extended friend group.  Something we witness year to year are kids making new hard working friends, and this only makes them better.  We realize it is far for some of you... which is why it is not required.  But, make it if you can, or if you had some business to handle in this area anyway, then this can be a stop along the way towards your kid's development.  After this Saturday, the other CMAC All Star / All Squad practices will be the following Saturdays at 10am in Columbia: 9/27 Stephens Lake Park, 11/1 Stephens Lake Park, 11/15 Stephens Lake Park (changed from Gans Creek).

Go ahead and spread the word about any remaining meets we have.  They are open to all 2011-2019 born kids.  BUT STARTING NEXT WEEK, we will begin having 2K runs for all adults (15 & older) to begin the 4 team hosted meets before the CMAC championships.  Any monetary donation is accepted to enter the race.  But a $10 donation gets you a CMAC gift, these can be t-shirts, bags, or whatever we have to give on hand at the time.  Show those kids how to get it done!

Everyone keep working hard to improve; and we'll see you soon.
