IMPORTANT UPDATE

2026 Mandatory Abuse Awareness Course for Volunteers

(NEW GUIDELINES)

Note From Little League International: The safety and well-being of all participants in the Little League® program are our top priority. Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring a fun, memorable, and safe experience every year. All volunteers are required to complete the Little League Abuse Awareness Course annually. Little League International is proud to announce the launch of the NEW Little League Abuse Awareness Course, which replaces previous programs offered through third-party organizations like USA Baseball. It is specifically tailored to the Little League program and designed to provide a simpler, more effective learning experience for our volunteers.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

  • The course takes approximately 45 minutes to complete
  • Upon finishing, participants will receive a certificate, which must be downloaded and then uploaded to Blue Sombrero during registration
  • Volunteers (new and returning) need to take the course BEFORE completing their registration on Blue Sombrero

Returning volunteers can begin completing the course now, so it’s ready before registration opens. HLL registration will be opening in late January - more information will be announced soon. In the meantime, the course, can be completed through the Little League training portal at LittleLeague.org/Training
