TEAM FORMATION/DRAFTS & NEXT STEPS
Team Formation/Draft (Minor & Major Leagues Only):
- Attendance at a tryout does not guarantee placement in that division - Roster spots are limited
- Drafts for Minor & Major League (only)
- Drafts held mid–late March (Majors first, then Minors)
- Only Managers/Coaches permitted at the drafts
- Team managers contact drafted players with an invitation and share team information
- While families are typically contacted within 24–48 hours of the draft, please allow several days — and in some cases up to one week — for the full team formation process
- Please remain mindful of others during this period, as some candidates may not be drafted or may not receive placement updates immediately
Not Drafted - Next Steps:
- Players not drafted into Majors/Minors will be placed appropriately
- Candidates not placed in the Minor League will automatically be placed in Minor Juniors.
- Players not drafted to Majors will return to their former teams in the Minors whenever applicable (former roster spots are held)
Team Notification Process (All Divisions):
- Team placement notifications announced late March after drafts
- Rosters will be posted to TeamSnap & HLL Website
NOTE: Allow time for the full process to unfold before contacting the league
