HLL Baseball's Opening Day Parade & Ceremony

When: Saturday, April 11

Arrival: 9:00 am (10th & Washington; near the Elks Club)

Parade: 10:00 am Parade - Ceremony to directly follow

Player Attire / What to Bring:

  • Players wear full uniforms (hat, jersey, baseball pants)
  • Uniforms will be distributed before the event by team managers/coaches on Thursday/Friday evening or upon arrival at parade
  • Contact the team representative for information about uniform pick up
  • DO NOT bring equipment or other items

Event Timeline 

  • Line up/Arrival: 9:00 AM (10th & Washington; near the Elks Club)
  • Parade: Begins at 10:00 AM
  • Opening Ceremony: ~10:25–11:00 AM

Ceremony Location: Sgt. William Fesken Memorial Field, 25 5th Street)

Player/Coaches Arrival Instructions

  • Arrive in front of the Elks Lodge (Washington & 10th)
  • Upon arrival, staff will direct players to their lineup locations.

Important Instructions (Parents):

  • Parents drop off players with coaches and promptly move to spectator areas on opposite side of the street/sidewalks.
  • Due to the large number of participants, this is a swift;“drop-and-go” process - DO NOT linger with your child during lineup or parade; only registered coaches/volunteers remain with the teams forthe entire event
  • Procession moves down Washington Street, turns left onto 5th Street, and enters the field near the first base gate
  • Parents may walk along the sidewalk but should NOT walk in the street or enter the field with teams

Opening Day Ceremony (Approx. 10:30 AM

  • Only registered players, coaches, and invited guests on the field
  • Ceremony concludes around 11:00–11:15 AM (TBD)
  • Players will be dismissed immediately afterward - please clear the field promptly
