Matteo Harris’s Big Day Propels Billings Central Catholic Varsity Rams Past Columbia Falls Varsity Wildcats

Matteo Harris collected three hits in three at bats, as Billings Central Catholic Varsity Rams defeated Columbia Falls Varsity Wildcats 12-2 on Friday at 130 Third Ave NW. Harris singled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
Columbia Falls Varsity Wildcats opened the scoring in the first after Jett Pitts singled, scoring one run.
Billings Central Catholic Varsity Rams captured the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the first when Harris singled, scoring one run, Porter Dahlberg was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Tyce Halter singled, scoring two runs.
Billings Central Catholic Varsity Rams scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the third inning. Zach McDonald hit a solo home run to left field, Brennan Harlan singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Harlan scored after tagging up, and Oliver Prill doubled, scoring two runs.
Paxton Prill stepped on the hill first for Billings Central Catholic Varsity Rams. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking none. Nico Young started on the bump for Columbia Falls Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher surrendered four hits and six runs (two earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Drew Heigis appeared in relief for Billings Central Catholic Varsity Rams.
Howie Martin, Halter, and Prill each drove in two runs for Billings Central Catholic Varsity Rams. Billings Central Catholic Varsity Rams turned one double play in the game.
Young and Pitts were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Columbia Falls Varsity Wildcats. Jory Hill, Young, Pitts, and Zeke Dunn each collected one hit for Columbia Falls Varsity Wildcats.

Whitefish Varsity Bulldogs Triumph Over Frenchtown Varsity Broncs

Whitefish Varsity Bulldogs were triumphant over Frenchtown Varsity Broncs 8-3 on Friday.
Frenchtown Varsity Broncs got on the board in the first inning after Brooks Day hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Whitefish Varsity Bulldogs took the lead in the top of the second inning after Frenchtown Varsity Broncs committed an error, and Cullen Wallace singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Hendrix Waln singled down the left field line, which helped Frenchtown Varsity Broncs tie the game at two in the bottom of the second.
In the top of the third, Whitefish Varsity Bulldogs broke up the tie when Finn Ryan grounded out, scoring one run. Then a ground out by Gavin Knapp followed to extend the lead to 5-2.
Wallace pitched six and two-thirds innings in relief for Whitefish Varsity Bulldogs. The reliever gave up two hits and two runs (one earned) while, striking out one and walking three. Logan Stewart opened the game for Whitefish Varsity Bulldogs. The right-handed pitcher surrendered one hit and one run over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking one. Day stepped on the hill first for Frenchtown Varsity Broncs. The starter surrendered zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking one.
Wallace led Whitefish Varsity Bulldogs with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The pitcher went 2-for-4 on the day. Luke Dalen stole two bases. Whitefish Varsity Bulldogs ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game. Whitefish Varsity Bulldogs turned one double play in the game.

Hayden Mayer Drives 4 Runners Home In Bigfork Varsity Vikings Victory Over Beaverhead County Varsity Beavers

Hayden Mayer drove in four runs on two hits to lead Bigfork Varsity Vikings past Beaverhead County Varsity Beavers 7-2 on Saturday. Mayer doubled in the third inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the seventh inning, scoring one.
Beaverhead County Varsity Beavers opened the scoring in the second after Levi Stonebraker singled, scoring one run.
Bigfork Varsity Vikings captured the lead, 4-1, in the top of the third when Mayer doubled, scoring three runs, and Mason Lewis singled, scoring one run.
Mayer stepped on the bump first for Bigfork Varsity Vikings. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out one and walking one. Cohen Hartman led things off on the hill for Beaverhead County Varsity Beavers. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking none.
Lewis and Mayer were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Bigfork Varsity Vikings.
