Action Transportation had too much pent up energy in their first game after along winter and took it out on the Lia Group, winning 23-8 on a bright, sunny May 18th. In game 2, ROMO'S PIZZA shut down the mighty Legion offense to win 15-4.
Game Recap:
Dan Donohue led the Action offense, going 4-4, with a double. Pat Bacher was 3-4 with a walk and 2 RBI's. Steve Gatt, Hector Jimenez, and Art Wise were each 3-4 also. Steve had 2 doubles, Hector had 3 RBI's, and Art had a double. Paul Peters was 2-3, with 2 walks, and 2 doubles. Mike Harrigan was 2-3, with a double and 3 RBI's. Dan Madigan was 2-3. Gene Itri was 3-5 with 4 RBI's. Gary Onderdonk was 2-4 with 2 doubles. Dan Daigenault was 2-4 with a double and triple.
For Lia, Brian Colllins 3-4. Andy Rakowsky and Greg Ira were 2-3, Andy with a walk and Greg with 2 doubles. Kevin Washock was 2-4. Joe Salo contributed a double and John Giarrusso had a triple.
For ROMO'S, Frank Diana was 3-3. Mark Slusar was 2-2, with a double and 2 RBI's. Juan Ovalle was 2-2 with 3 RBI's. Chuck Palladino, Ron Buck and Mike Simmons were all 2-3. Julio Feliciano was 2-4, with a double. Toby Walters was 2-4, also with a double. Bill Hickey had 2 RBI's. Bartolo Tiburcio was 2-4.
For Legion, Ian Duckor was 2-2. Bert Cromling was 2-3, with a 3 run HR Bob Finn and Ralph Scunziano each had a double.
