The New RBVLL Hit-A-Thon Fundraiser!

We’re having a hit-a-thon this season on April 13th, where all the RBVLL players can participate to see how many hits they can get and how much money they can raise for their Little League.

Please come out to cheer on all of the players supporting RBVLL! With over two hundred players and volunteers involved, the Hit-A- Thon will be a fun event for all!

How the Hit-A-thon works:

On the day of the Hit-A-Thon each player will have the opportunity to get up to ten hits (from the pitching machine, a pitcher or batting tee for T-Ball/Single A) and fair hits will be recorded (Each player will automatically receive a minimum of five hits.).

Various targets will be set up on the field and if the player hits the target they will receive a raffle ticket.

Prizes:

Individual prizes are awarded cumulatively. In other words – if a player collects the most overall pledges they would also receive the prize for the most pledges collected for their division as well.

Players will receive different prizes depending on the amount of money they raise. Incentive prizes are also awarded to teams that raise the most donations within their division.

How Donations Work:

Players will receive an email from "99Pledges" where players will be invited to the 2019 Hit-A-Thon for Rancho Buena Vista Little League.

RBVLL players will then be able to reach out to friends and families throughout the country electronically by email, Facebook, and Twitter, instead of going door-to-door, tracking commitments, and handling checks.

Additionally, donors can make a contribution to support with a simple and secure online transaction.

Types of donations:

Some donors may sponsor a pledge “per hit” payable after the team participates in “Hit-A-Thon Day”.

The League strongly encourages donations of a flat amount to be paid at the time of the solicitation.

Players collecting checks or cash may use the Rancho Buena Vista Little League Pledge Form Here.

Fundraising will end on Sunday, April 17, 2019 and the online site will close. If any players collected checks or cash, the players should turn their collections to the team manager/coordinator. The team manager/ coordinator will turn it over to the league coordinators (Kara DeWitt or Kathy Hammack).

The Hit-A-Thon is our Little League’s primary fundraiser
and is the ONLY fundraiser that involves our players.

Why do we need a fundraiser? Throughout the year, RBVLL organizes more than 40 teams with over 400 baseball players from the ages of 4 through 14. To do this, RBVLL has substantial operating expenses including the purchase of uniforms, equipment, and hundreds of baseballs. Registration fees pay a portion of the overall expenses.

However, RBVLL aims to continue improving facilities to improve the overall "Little League" experience for our players and families.

In order to continue making improvements, RBVLL needs funding beyond registration fees. If each player collects $50, we will collect more than our $10,000 goal! Is the donation tax deductible? ABSOLUTELY! RBVLL is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Donations are tax-deductible. (Federal Tax ID #33-0582156)
