Vipers Travel Softball

The Program:

The Vipers Softball Organization is dedicated to providing high-caliber, competitive softball for girls looking to take their game to the next level. Our USA Softball certified coaches include former college players, dedicated hitting and pitching instructors, and coaches with decades of experience.  As an organization we value and accommodate the all-around athlete and encourage girls to play multiple sports. Vipers players train year-round at our ViSTA (Vipers Softball Training Academy) facility.  This dedicated softball training facility features multiple hitting and pitching lanes and training stations.  Ours is the only program in the area with a video pitching simulator that lets players train against college level simulated live pitching, featuring every type of pitch: fastballs, riseballs, drops, and curves at up to 70 MPH. Program wide clinics and position specific training options are also provided. Our goal is to ensure that even the most enthusiastic players have enough training opportunities that their individual development is limited only by their level of effort.

• The simulator pitching machine enables players to face "virtual" live pitching all off-season. There is no substitute for actual hitting in softball and there is no better option to work on hitting than a pitching simulator.  Over the last five years, Vipers players have faced in excess of 310,000 simulated pitches.  That's like playing an extra 3,100 full games!
• We utilize a program-wide approach to skill development.
• Top hitting instructor works with our teams.
• We utilize top-notch indoor and outdoor facilities throughout the year.
• Winter Training - Emphasis on physical training, hitting, position work and pitching in the off-season
• Tournaments and games
• Tournaments commensurate with each team's level
• Weeknight travel league
• We help those players who want to connect with college coaches to do so - from bringing in ex-college players to help with seminars to coaching tools to connect with college coaches on your behalf.
• Position clinics are included for all levels
  • CONTINUING IN 2022 Pitching Instruction - The Vipers program recognizes the incremental expense that pitchers incur and pays for individual instruction up to ½ of the registration fee paid for 12U+ (max reimbursement up to $400 - 10U players still receive free group pitching instruction)
  • We work with one of the top pitching instructors in the country
  • Catchers clinics run throughout the year
    
  • NEW IN 2022 Showcase Option - Rostered Vipers players can try out to become a member of the Vipers Showcase Team.  The top twenty players selected from across all of our Vipers teams will  be dual-rostered on a Vipers team and the Vipers Showcase Team (an additional fee of $350 is required).  Players will attend additional year-round showcase team practices and skills clinics and have the opportunity to compete for placement on the roster to attend up to three showcase events (additional fee of $150/event).  Led by non-parent coaches with extensive coaching experience, this team is intended to prepare players to play in college.  The coaches both have daughters who played in college (D1 and D3) and can help guide players through the college search and recruitment process.

Benefits vs Other Programs:

• Convenience – The convenience of a top softball program with the ability to stay relatively local for practices and many games. 
  
• A “Softball Family” – Often these are players from the same or neighboring school districts.  Players and families develop great bonds and relationships that last for many years.
• Cost – A lot of softball for the money: 40 to 55 games in total depending on the team, league games during the week, off-season skill development, additional "program clinics", and specific pitchers, catchers, hitting sessions. A premium program for only $1195/year (12u and older).
