"For the Love of My Game" Academic & Sports program 2019

Da FAM Club's "For the Love of My Game" is a Sports and Academic Afterschool program that will operate Monday thru Friday 3:45-6pm for $10 a day or $40(one time Fee)a week...We also offer extended day from 6pm-8pm for $5 a day...This program will run February 22-June 13,2019 at Brennan/Rogers School 200 Wilmont rd in New Haven,CT . Each Student will receive a program T-shirt,Skill Development ,conditioning and Scrimmages . Snacks will be provided by the New Haven board of Education and sponsors..Guest Speakers,Rules of the game,Career goals,Healty habits and more will go along with the daily curriculm which is divided into workshops, spotlighting various life issues as well as th basketball activities. The workshops feature education,sports,guest speakers,arts and crafts as well as community relations. Orcutt Boys & Girls Club and Da FAM Club presents "For the Love of the Game" Spring basketball league in Bridgeport,CT..The league games will be held at Orcutt Boys & Girls Club 102 Park st Bridgeport ,CT..The league has 1 Coed division (Biddy) 2nd-4th Grade & (Development)4/5th grade ..(.Boys)6th grade and 7/8th grade  ..Female divison grades 4-6th grade ,6Th ,7/8th grade & High School Division ..Each registered player will receive a League uniform,4hrs Of Workouts & 8 League Games ... Da FAM Club Open House Basketball Games for Boys and Girls travel teams 2019

Da FAM Club is offering Open House Baketball games at our Host School Brennan/Rogers School in New Haven,CT ..We have numerous teams to pair up for game with boys Grades 3/4,5th,6th,7th,8th and Girls 5th,6th,7th & 8th grade..we have Travel teams from across Northeast who will and have participated in these games in the Past..We have game times Monday thru Friday(5:45,6:45 & 7:45)...Teams are welcomed to play Multiple games in a Day or Week if they are interested ...We have ($35 a team)Game Fees as well as a Door Admission for Adults/High school-$2 & kids $1 which helps support our program activities..For more info you can contact(Gary) 203-360-4829 or email dafam12002@yahoo.com. Being that we understand Gym time across the State is Limited we offer the chance for Teams to setup Games at our location against other teams instead of playing against our teams. We are looking for hardworking Student Athletes to join Da FAM like them on our Boys Teams:4th grade,5th,6th,7th and 8th Grade teams.. Trayniece mims(2014),Tanaya Atkinson(2014) & Alyssa Alston(2015) CT 1st Team All State 2012-13

Trayniece Mims(2014/Hyde school/15/Roxbury cc),Tanaya Atkinson(2014/Temple Univ/18) and Alyssa Alston(2015/Ole Miss-19)) have all been selected to Connecticut High School  Coaches Assoc 1st Team All-State for Girls Basketball for the 2012-13 Season.This is the second time Tanaya has received this Award and for Trayniece and  Alyssa its a upgrade from their 3rd team selections in 2011-12 Season.The girls have now been put on the Radar from over 50 Div1 & 2 schools in the ACC,Big Ten,CAA,A10,NEC and Big East schools.They have so far help Lead their respected schools Trayniece Mims at HYDE Leadership has helped turn the program aroumd in her 3years with leading the team all 3 seasons in Points,steals and assit.Also this past year she lead her school to the Semifinal game in the Class S division which was the 1st time in school history for female basketball,,Trayniece has already scored over a 1000 points in high school and has been in the top 10 in state all 3 years in 3pointers made and Scoring.Tanaya and Alyssa led  Career Magnet High School50-6 record including a 20 & 26 game winning streaks and Back to Back Conference Championships with wins over Hillhouse High School(2012) & Mercy(2013)..Tanaya Atkinson has been selected to the All Conference Team in 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, selected  "Most Outstanding Player" of The Conference Back to Back Seasons 2012 & 2013. Voted 1st Team All-State for 2011-12 season and now in 2012-13 season and will be Named "New Haven Register All-AREA MOP" Award for 2013..Alyssa Alston was also selected All-Conference 2011-12 & 2012-13 season, selected 3rd team All-State as a Freshman in 2012 season and this year awarded 1st Team  All-State for 2012-13 season..They finished their  2012-13 season 23-4 with aloss in the State Quarterfinals. Career Magnet High School Won the Conference title Back to Back years 2012 & 2013..Trayniece,Tanaya & Alyssa are now looking forward to gaining more Exposure,working on their skills this Spring,Summer and Fall during workouts and Da FAM Travel Games..

Pictured above is 2 time Big East Defensive Player of the Year in 2011 & 2012 Devereaux Peters of Notre Dame University) Da FAM Club a youth organization based in New Haven,CT will continue to go business to business and Door to Door this Spring and Summer looking for sponsorship and Donations for our CT Da FAM Club youth programs as well as for our future programming.We are also looking for other Youth Programs who are looking to do collaborative events to raise funds for our respected Programs.Da FAM Club Inc received a charitable donation in 2008 a Econoline 12 passenger Van(2003)which has helped with our daily programs as well as our Da FAM Club Travel program transportation for those youth who in the past were not able to participate because of transportation issues. We are putting together Basketball Clinics,Youth/Adult Invitational Games,Middle school Girls/Boys All-Star games, and as well Our Annual Celebrity Fundraising Weekends ,this year would be Our 18th Annual event. Da FAM Club Alumni Girls show they can balance Books and Basketball as they lead their School's

Da FAM Club Alumni girls continue to show that they believe in Books and Basketball as they get prepared start their high school and College Basketball seasons. All of these players above have lead their respected high schools to Conference playoffs & Championships as well as the State Championship games which they were Starters at(Kolbe Cathedral,Career Magnet,Notre Dame-FFld and Hillhouse High schools in 2004 thru 2008)most of the Players above are now Student/Athletes at the Collegiate Level from Left to Right is Kamiya Burwell(Kolbe/2 State Championships/all-Conference player),Ashley Prim(Kolbe/2 State Championship's & 2 Chip MVP'S,she's plays for St.Joseph Univ basketball team 2009-13),Gary "Da General" Nelson 60 Travel/AAU Tournament Chips ,Courtney Sturdevent/white headband (1 State Chip-Hillhouse/attend Barton college in Kansas on the basketball team),Alexandria "Wa Wa" Dowdy(Graduate/Hillhouse/1 State Championship/Senior on the Central Ct State univ basketball team),Anisha Wilson(Career high school/State Championship 08/plays for Morgan univ Island basketball team 2009-13),Michelle White(graduate of Hillhouse high school/1 state Championship/currently playing for the Univ of Houston class 2013),Candice Williams(ND-Fairfield 07,4 year basketball starter/Lost in 2 High school State championships/now attended UCONN-Storrs Class of '12 ,was on a scholarship for 4 years Track and Field),Seniors Twins Cara Deroy(Hamden high school 11) and Molly Deroy(Hamden high school 11), all of the girls are good students and are going to play major roles for their Collegiate basketball Teams in the 2011-12 season.

Da Ship has arrived due to a Generous Donation from One of our Sponsors. Da Ship has set a Sail by Coasting up and around the East Coast. Dreammakers Events host Da FAM Club Fundraising Concerts with Rapper TI and more

Da FAM Club Inc and Dream-makers Events,along with Our staff includes President Gary "Da General" Nelson Jr and Da Commissioner Steve Drayton(Boston,Mass), five part-time coaches and a number of volunteers,parents and guardians provide team management,tutoring,assistant coaching,Life skill workshops and chaperones for Basketball tournaments,and college tours.Two Coaches and one volunteer will also supervise team activities. Dream-makers Events was a major financial sponsor of Da FAM Club Inc. Most American youth listen to Hip/Hop and R&B music. Dream makers promote Hip/Hop and R&B concerts and Comedy shows in the tri-state and beyond. A portion of the events proceeds were going to the Da FAM Club programming. The Athletes and Parents had attend the events and some had a opportunity to meet and take pictures with the artists.The events allowed the athletes and Parents to form a relationship on/off of the Court.The cost of Da FAM Club could have reached $950 for a Pair of Air Jordan Jerseys,a pair of Jordan Shorts and team Sneakers.With the success of Some of our fundraiser events,donations and Grants the fee was only $300. The fee was waived for some of our Players fees for their equipment ,Transportation,Lodging and/or Tournament entry fees.the Dreammakers events had some success in their ventures with Shows including Artist like Busta Rhymes,Juelz Santana,Ne-YO,Plies,Flo-Rida,T.I,Mike Jones & Fabulous.
