Welcome
Subscribe to our NewsletterPlease Join us for our 2026 Season Team Kick-off event! We will be gathering in the Commons at Jordan High.
March 26, 2026, 6:00PM-8:00PM Jordan High School
We always have a great time at this event where we reunite with our current riders and to welcome new ones!
Anyone that will be in grades 7-12 this fall for the 2026-2027 school year from Eastmont MS, Mt Jordan MS, and Jordan HS are welcome to come and join our team. Everyone rides with us. No one will be turned away. We also welcome riders from private and charter schools in our area.
We will have information for the upcoming season that will cover practice rides, skills training, races, and other Team events.
Volt will be there with cycling shorts and shirts to try on so that riders can make sure to order the correct size. Our kits are a custom order for the Team. There will not be many options to exchange shorts or shirts other than with other riders if the incorrect size is ordered.
We will have the Volt Team Store open starting on March 26 to order kits and complete Team Registration. League Registration will open on March 29 for the riders and is a separate process from ordering kits and team registration.
Parents are also welcome to joi our team as volunteers to ride at practices as wells as to help with our activities, events, and races.

About Our Team in 2026
Schools We Represent
The Jordan cross-country mountain bike team consists of students from:
- Jordan High School
- Mount Jordan Middle
- Eastmont Middle School
- Nearby middle schools may also qualify, with League permission
Our Junior Development team includes grades 7–8 and our high school team supports grades 9–12.
Unique Among Sports Teams
Our mountain bike team is unlike other sports teams because:
- Anyone can participate, including those with physical or cognitive disabilities.
- There are no tryouts, no “bench.”
- Ride and/or race regardless of your fitness, endurance, or skill level.
How and Where We Ride
We practice and race on a mix of rough paths, single-track or double-track trails, and "fire roads." Most practices occur in Corner Canyon in Draper during weekdays, then more distant locations on Saturdays. Our team’s activities focus on preparing for and racing at NICA-managed cross-country mountain biking events in the fall. We DO NOT train for or participate in downhill or enduro bike events.
Season Calendar
- Mar: Coach Registration and Training
- Apr: Official online registration and payments

About the Utah League

The Jordan MTB Team is also is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Our sport is not sanctioned by the Utah Board of Education and is independent of the schools we serve. All coaches are unpaid volunteers who are trained and licensed by the program.
Registration Fees
Registration for our 2026 Season will begin in April. Below is the information about our 2025 season. The information will be updated once we receive it from the Utah MTB League in late winter.
There are fees for 1) the Jordan Team and 2) the Utah League/NICA. In the 2025 season, Jordan Team fees are $300 and cover the cost of bike uniforms (kits). Utah League/NICA fees are $360 for high school riders, $300 for middle school riders (Jr Devos) and cover races and insurance. The fees for the Team and the League are separate and will be paid separately.
Scholarships and other financial support may be available for financially challenged students and families, so please talk to a coach before assuming you can't afford to join! We have a few bikes that we are able to loan out for the season as well to rider that need one.
