WELCOME

Welcome to the North Winnipeg Minor Baseball Association Website.

This site is meant to be a central information source for the NWMBA, so please check back often. If you have any information you would like to see on the website, feel free to email me your suggestions, and I will look into getting it on.

Click on the About menu above, then contact info.  The contact button will allow you to email the administrator of this site to forward comments/suggestions/information.

If you are new to the area, firstly, welcome to North Winnipeg.  The next thing you will need to know is which community centre you will belong to.  You may find that information on the city of Winnipeg page http://www.gcwcc.mb.ca/community.cfm

The rest of the information you may need will be on this website.  If you need assistance, feel free to email the administrator, instructions above, and you will be looked after.

If you are in West St Paul, or St Andrews, you can find their links on the registration sheet.  These are the only two areas outside the city of Wpg, and are not on the above website page.

2019 Season Coaching Recruitment

If you are a fun, hard-working and enthusiastic individual we have a summer job waiting for you. As we make preparations for this upcoming 2019 baseball season, NWMBA (North
Winnipeg Minor Baseball Association) is recruiting coaches for all ages & levels of AAA, AA & A baseball. Coaching youth baseball can be an extremely rewarding opportunity and create lifelong lessons and relationships. Whether it’s instructing the basics or fine tuning an advanced skillset, coaching can provide lasting satisfaction and memories for all involved.

If part of your summer can be spent instructing the youth of North Winnipeg in the great game of baseball, we’re looking for you. We encourage you to apply for a coaching position. There are several ranging from Head Coach to Assistant, as well as team manager. All positions are extremely important to the development and future of our baseball players.

If cost is a concern, many Community Clubs may reimburse up to full clinic costs. Also, Sport Manitoba offers individual annual grants up to $500 to be used for coaching certification associated costs.

If you feel you’re ready to become a baseball coach, please visit: nwmba.ca and under ‘Forms’ & ‘Handouts’ you can view and submit a completed application form outlining which age and level you’d like to work with. You may also view the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) and MBA (Baseball Manitoba) Coaching Certification chart in this section of the website. It outlines what online lessons or in-person clinics are required to coach at any age for AAA, AA & A youth baseball teams. If you have any questions, reach out to the AAA, AA or A Director via this website.

We look forward to hearing from you!
