WEST COAST STORM BASEBALL Inc.

501 (C) (3) non-profit

Mission Statement/Objective

We will Instruct and Teach Baseball, Both Physically and Mentally to the Athlete and to the Parent. We have found that a lot of misunderstanding between Athlete Perception and Parent Perception of Information given at a lesson is Due to the Parent not being Actively involved in the Drill or Routine. We will show them that the Physical and Mental Multi-Tasking necessary is not as easy to achieve as it sounds.

West Coast Storm Baseball Inc. (Organization) has three Missions/Objectives:

One Objective is to Help and Guide the College Level Athlete to a better understanding of what they need to do in order to achieve his or her full Potential and give them the opportunity to execute those skills in Games.

Our Second Objective is to take that same Athlete and have Him/Her Teach those Baseball Skills, both Physical and Mental, to the Youth of the Community by having them Coach/Participate in the Youth Camps and Clinics put on by the Organization. This will help them take the next step into Coaching when there playing career comes to an end.

The Third Objective is to Reach Out to our Military and their Families by Implementing  a program that helps them make a Reconnection with their Kids thru Baseball.  Because the Soldier has been Trained to Survive under Stressful Conditions and the Children have not (Many Soldiers come back with some form of Mental Health issues such as PTSD or TBI), The Physical and Mental Multi-Tasking involved will be our Key Ingredient in helping with the Bonding of Parent & Child and also helping them with their Challenges of Community Reintegration.

Within these 3 Objectives we will include those Youth, College and Adult Amputee’s who would like a place to go, to learn that they are no different than anyone else. We all have different learning challenges and by sharing our knowledge and imaginations we can find a way for us all to achieve our goals.

West Coast Storm Baseball cannot change all of Amateur Sports but we would like to start with Baseball. We want to Train Parents to become Ball Players along with their Children, in hopes that Both will understand the Physical and Mental Multitasking necessary to achieve consistent success in Their Performance. Winning and Losing is a Team concept. We want to revert back to the Individual Concept. When you Fix the Problem, the end result will be a Win-Win. At this point it isn’t the Final Score that counts it’s the journey.

WEST COAST STORM BASEBALL IS WORKING ON NEW WEBSITE CHANGES AS WE ARE NOW NONPROFIT FOR 2015

December 12, 2014

With our Non-Profit status we are going to have a year round program starting sometime in the beginning of 2015. We will be focusing on Teaching Individual fundamentals and skills, rather than Teams and Games, although the Summer College Team will still play games. We are reaching out to combine Parent and Child Instruction, plus instructing Combat Veterans and their Children at the same time and finally, Youth Amputee and Adult Amputee baseball instruction. We will do this thru Camps and Clinics throughout the SoCal area year round. These camps and clinics will be done twice a month at different counties in SoCal, and we will also be setting up a weekly program that families can join as a membership in each of those counties. Remember this is for both parent and child.  This is also Not about Games other than the College Team. We are hoping to influence the College players to think about broadening their way of learning skills and technics to help themselves, to learning to teach what they learn to others as well.

We are currently searching for Foundations and Corporations to generate funding and grants for our programs

We are also looking for Coaches who are willing to Instruct, more than coach games.

OVERVIEW and MISSION CHANGES in 2015 - We Are Now WEST COAST STORM BASEBALL INC - NON PROFIT

October 3, 2014

As of April 2, 2015 we have not yet been able to confirm any outside resources for financial aid for our Youth/Parent Camps and Clinics to be held in Cities and Counties in Southern California area. Our Military Program has also not produced anything substantial as of yet either. We knew as a new venture that this would be the case and are hoping that things will turn around in the near future as we have reached out to a few of our MLB teams for help and with Spring Training about over we hope they will have there Board and Committee Meetings and look at our program in the near future.

With our 2015 College Summer Program also around the corner we will hope that by end of May we will have some help to cut the player fees in half.

As a Non Profit Organization we will be conducting 99% of our programs at City Parks and School District Fields along with Private Facilities that may become available. Even though a lot of owners will waive a certain amount of the fees there will still be fees rendered.

2015 "SWEET LOU'S FIELD OF DREAMS"

The 2 Pictures above are of my Residence in Norco, CA. I built this back in 1992 after We sold our Horses and decided to convert our Horse Arena into a miniature Baseball Field so I could teach my son's and there teammates some one on one about baseball. I really matured as a coach because of this, and took the Winning out of my Goal and replaced it with Teaching Every Kid and giving them All an equal opportunity to succeed or fail. As I changed the Kid I also started to change the Parent who came with the kid making them both aware that you first have to learn how to play Mentally and Physically before you can actually play the Game the right way. Most are not Natural Born Athletes (who get it without even knowing how, they just get it).

I do about 20 to 25 One on One lessons a week here right now. 80% are with Kids in Elementary School and Jr. High. I was wanting back in 2010 to do a lot more to my place, with an indoor setup and also maybe house some players during the summer programs but everything cost money so it never materialized. So I use my field as a place where I can help parents to let there kids be kids and teach the parent that they cannot even throw straight or hit line drives so why are you mad at your kid?? They are 9 and your 29, give them a chance to learn before you make them play travel ball year round, on top of Little League and expect them to become the next Mickey Mantle or Mike Trout.
