Top 5 teams will get a bye so everyone will make playoffs. Glad we don't have any Little Sisters of the Poor teams this season. I like the competition and the idea of any given Sunday you gotta show up. If you play in other leagues and think another team would be a good fit, pass out mine or Pete's info. More teams = more money. |

Stallions vs. Silverbacks(GOW)- This is a battle of IMO the 2 best QB's in the league. Both of these offenses can score 40 points any week. Now both defenses play physical and fast, but I think the Stallions defense can get one extra stop and pull out a W in a high scoring game. 38-31 Stallions. Spartans vs. Tigers- I feel like it's the same story with both of these teams every year. Spartans are always a top 3 team but get overshadowed due to some hype around other teams but they may be the most complete team in the league. And every year the Tigers think it's there year, but with the addition of Gavin that may give them more hope. But this Spartans team is complete and though that Tigers defense is always tough Jim will put up enough points to win handily. 26-13 Spartans. Warriors vs. Predators- I'll be honest here I haven't seen much of this Warriors team but I do know they can play. Beat a veteran Bottom team in week 1 then get an early statement win over the defending champs. The predators are always a good team and added a QB to temporarily replace Justin. This should be a good one but Predators experience pulls this out in a close one. 20-18 Predators. Nemesis vs. Caos- I'll tell you right now this isn't the same Nemesis team as last year. Hose got some recruits and these boys can play. They may be a bit sloppy at times but this is a much improved team. Caos coming off an L I really expect them to bounce back. But I try to pick one upset a week and this one has the most potential. I'll go Nemesis 18-14. Henchmen vs. Rebels- This is a battle of 2 teams I have a lot of respect for. Both teams play extremely hard every game and compete no matter what. This game will be full of athletes, and big plays. I think Rebels get a quality win here in a low scoring defense battle. 13-12 Rebels |

So post predictions and rankings to your heart's content, but when you think your posting earth shattering shit talking under pseudonym's and claim we don't have freedom of speech, come on now. Rule Changes that were discussed and voted on by Captains that were at the meeting. 1) We are going to a regular NFL style coin toss. Do not send your stupidest player out for toss and expect mercy when your team kicks the ball off twice. What this means is we are getting rid of the automatic switch at the half. So if win the toss you can defer the option on what you want to do to the second half. Almost always this means the other team chooses to receive in 1st half and then you pick the direction you want to kick and then receive in the 2nd half if you so choose. Ask for an explanation if you do not understand, there are no mulligans. 2) You can kick an onsides kick during the entire 2nd half IF your down between 16 to 24 points and can still onside kick under 5 mins if your down anything. 3) !!! If you are within 5 yards of the 1st down offsides is now a 15-yard penalty regardless if it was on purpose or not. We will mark the lines to show where 5-yards is. 4) 4 games must be played to qualify for playoffs. 5) Everyone makes playoffs. First 2 teams from each division get a bye. Divisions are posted in Ryan Swan's post. The season starts Sept 3 and barring weather should end December 10. Each team will play 10 games so you won't play a team. It will be random who you don't play. I had an RNG build the schedule so I don't even know who's who so I didn't pick any individual matchups. As for the 9 AM games we will try and accommodate everyone for teams in other leagues, but I am for sure getting some 9 AM games myself and if Swan wants them, as we setup the fields and I am not waking up early to set them up and then waiting around for my game. There is only 3 9 AM game slots available so will do what we can. Already have the schedule made just have to place games in time slots. *Caos gets a free ride as stated earlier by Ryan Swan ** Only league investments that need to be made this year are getting another set of field lines and I already bought a line striper for the goal lines and mid field lines. Cost was 23.30. Permits are $600, should have them this week. *** Team who wins the chip gets a free ride for 2018 Spring season. **** I have a locked toolbox at the field which I while start placing cones I get into it, and probably the field lines as I secure it a bit better because I do not feel like carrying them back and forth each week especially 2 to 3 sets (I live far as fuck from the fields). In addition, I won't be around a few weeks this season so it would be better left there for the captains to setup. Swan and I will teach the captains how to set them up and wind them up because we are not doing 2 to 3 fields each week. It's 1st team's responsibility to set them up and the last games team captains to roll them up. If you all don't feel like doing this let me know now before I order the 2nd set, but I never want to hear any bitching about refs making calls on the sidelines when we don't have the lines. It takes 15 mins to set them up after you do it 2 times. Any questions, post.....
