| Pete Predators April 4, 2017 12:55:33 AM Entry ID: 2081141 | @Jay we are playing the CHARGERS vs STALLIONS week. Which is listed as the games on 4/9. As for doubling up after Easter, not a bad idea. I was going to do it the last week of April. I want to give everyone ample time to make arrangements, as well as get the refs on board (still have to call Bob). Swan and I will discuss amongst the captains over the next few days to see if the majority want to do it the week after Easter or a week or two later. We will play the week that is to played and the week we will make up will be the week that was moved to the 6/11 date, this was the 1st game we missed due to snow. Hopefully everyone can agree and we can make this happen so we can catch up. I am also working on getting some stuff straight with city in regards to field conditions. Ill keep everyone posted when i get new info. |

Also, can I make a suggestion that if we do a doubleheader one week I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to do it the week after Easter so that all teams are coming off of a bye week and are fresh and it isn't gonna be too hot out yet. Just my opinion on things. |

| Pete Predators April 1, 2017 2:44:52 PM Entry ID: 2081075 | Games are canceled this week. Our plan is to double a week maybe in late April/ early may so we don't fall too far behind our schedule. Swan and I after talking with captains will give everyone a full 2 weeks notice on what week we are doubling up and what week we are making up. We are also trying to find a rainy day solution for fields where we could possible go to play a week so we don't lose any more games. If we find a solution I will post here and if you think you have an worthy solution please post here as well. |

We are one of like 10 rough touch leagues throughout the city and these dudes ref our games, other leagues, high school and college. If they miss a rule that's particular to our league then let Rat, Pete, myself or Bob know after and we'll try to get it corrected. Pete is putting together a rule book and is posting shit on the FB page that goes over scenarios that come up during the games. Point is, they're gonna fuck up here and there but 95% of the time they do a pretty good job. And $65 for 4 refs is actually right in line with other leagues I've played in. That includes Lighthouse, Bristol, River and the Tim Teo leagues. Enough already though, just worry about getting W's. |

| Swan SBC April 1, 2017 8:40:15 AM Entry ID: 2081068 | Listen I want to keep this 100 with everybody. I'm getting new info just about everyday and Pete and I are just trying to hold down the fort. From what I understand of the field situation, we are at the mercy of Philly Parks and Rec. If they say fields are a no go and we play anyway, we could be fined $2000 or worse, lose the field permit and no refund. So enough with the nonsense about not wanting to play in the rain. I grew up playing football in all the elements, doesn't bother me one bit and I expect that goes for just about everyone in the league. I can speak for Pete and say that we'd like to play every week as well but sometimes the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Oh and stop ghost writing under Andy's name if you not Andy. Why the hell would you use another man's name? Smh. |

We already have cancelled one week and we still have Easter coming up at this rate we will be playing til Mid July. Thanks for rules clarification Swan we need to get all the refs on the same page so they know the rules and we aren't spending $65 on refs that don't know what they are doing it's unfair to some teams and the refs are just using us to collect money and stand on the fields. |

No wonder why they shipped Sheena away she was going to take your job Hurricane. We will check the fields tomorrow. Unfortunately, the weather on Sunday doesn't matter as our games are too early for the weather to dry up the fields. I also received an email from someone who plays youth flag football on phila rec fields and it said the fields were closed this weekend due to the rain. I will try and track down this person and get a confirmation. I will try to let everyone know by late afternoonish |

| Pete Predators March 30, 2017 12:03:58 AM Entry ID: 2081019 | Agree with Swan. To touch on George's point, if the refs are there waiting I will help them setup especially if I have a 9AM game. If the refs are there and have cones they should be setup so we only have one side to blame for being late and that would be us (the teams). The refs were there and were dragging their feet for whatever reason(I think they didn't have cones). I will try and correct that this week as I have some cones and will at least be able to set up an end zone and the 50. As for games this Sunday, a heads up to everyone as it is supposed to rain pretty heavy on Friday all day and into the night and overcast on Saturday, so am not sure what field conditions will be like Sunday. I will wait til Saturday to make a decision and will try to make it again on the earlier side so everyone can make plans accordingly. |

| Swan SBC March 29, 2017 10:08:42 PM Entry ID: 2081016 | Yeah but I think that's kind of the chicken or the egg question… I'm there usually 10 minutes before 9 AM and it's hit or miss as to whether all the other teams are there and ready to go… Like last Sunday my guys rolled in around 915 and Caos I think finally got all their guys there at 9:30. Then on the other field the Spartans and stallions were ready to go when I rolled up and they were waiting on the refs it seemed like. If It was consistent every week where teams were waiting on the refs then I would put the blame squarely on their shoulders but I know that the players are just as responsible for being stretched warmed up and ready to go, my team included. Maybe we should move the start to 845? Certainly a thought for next season... |

If each ref does 2 games a week the $65 per team works out to an extra $5 per ref so maybe that's where it is. $65x2 = $130 divided by 4 refs = $32.50 per game x 2 games = $65. If it was $60 per team they'd have $120 divided by 4 = $30 per game x 2 games = $60. I think it was negotiated back when PA was still running the show. |

All I want from the refs is to have every field set up before 915 we can't have games starting at 945 especially when both teams are there and ready....
