Welcome to the HOME of Harundale Youth Sports League (HYSL). We are a youth
organization created to support youth athletic teams in the Glen Burnie area. Our organization has been in existence 1953 (54 Years) offering both intramural and County teams in Baseball, Softball, Basketball, & Soccer.
We created this website to provide the latest information about our organization, We hope to keep you updated on meetings, leagues & teams.
Any board member should be reachable at any time to answer any questions you may have. You can find there contact info under board members.
HOMERUNS AGAINST HUNGER
The North County Community Girls Softball League, Harundale Youth Sports League, and the North County Emergency Outreach Network (NCEON) is sponsoring a food drive on Opening Day, April 12, 2008. We are asking that everyone please bring a non-perishable food item to the field on opening day and drop it off at the NCEON collection area. NCEON is working with charity groups in our area and all donated itmes will be distributed to people in our community. Thanks in advance for your support!
HYSL to Host 10th Annual Golf Tournament
The HYSL 10th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at Bay Hills Golf Club. We invite you to sign up as a single, a pair, a trio or a foursome. Cost is $85 per golfer, 9:00 am shotgun start, captains choice format, raffles, prizes, food & drinks!
Don't golf? Sponsor a hole for $100, donate door prizes or donate items for the goodie bags.

Boosters
BOOSTER HELP NEEDED!!! Booster Director: Lisa McCormick
Fall sports is now complete and with that said the concession stand is also closed. We would like to thank all the Boosters and there help for another great year. Even though the stand is closed the boosters never stop. Please HELP and make a difference next year. Some may have noticed the stand was closed a few times when there were games taking place. That was because there was "NO help". The current Boosters can not do it every night and weekend. Some please help us keep the stand open for all games and events. More help will eliminate surprises (stand closure) and parents not having food and drinks for there children. It's time to stop talking about it and be apart of it.

This Job doesn't come easy and for Lisa to want the position shows her dedication to this league. Just like all positions there are some personal sacrifices to be made. Lisa and her booster volunteers spend a lot of time in our snack shack, so that we all can have a bite to eat and hot/cold drinks. As always Lisa can still use plenty of help. We understand that not everyone has the time to become a full time booster. Any amount of help would be great. If you want to become a booster and support your Childs Youth program please contact Lisa @ mccorm23@aol.com. They can really use the help, even if it's a little.. Thanks Lisa for everything...
Basketball Updates
2007 - 2008 Season Registration is now closed for all age groups.
HYSL offers intramural and county league basketball programs for youth 5 -15 years of age. An instructional clinic is also offered for 4 year olds interested in learning basic basketball skills. Intramural games will be played at Richard Henry Lee Elementary School, Glendale Elementary School, Marley Elementary School, Corkran Middle School and/or Glen Burnie High School.
Please see the basketball site for upcoming winter tournaments sponsored by HYSL. Again we would like to thank Darnell/Rudy and all their volunteers.

2008 will bring a new commissioner to HYSL soccer. Please welcome Paul Brailer has the new Harundale Soccer commissioner. Paul was elected to this position at the December general meeting. Please allow Paul to get settled in and update the soccer site. His contact info can be found under contacts. As always paul will need plenty of help to make this all work. Please contact him if you would like to be apart of the soccer program.

Baseball Updates
**** NEW COMMISSIONER***** Lets all welcome Charlie Hildebrand to Harundale Baseball. As some of you already know Charlie has been with Harundale for over 15 years. You may also recognize him as your umpire. As he was and still is the leagues umpire and chief. The baseball web site will be updated soon with all the new info. Thank you Charlie
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Everyone PLEASE plan to attend our General Membership Meeting on Tuesday June 10, 2008 at 7:00 in the Corkran Middle School Cafeteria. This meeting is important for everyone to come and voice their questions and concerns about the league. Come show your support. PLEASE USE THE REAR ENTRANCE.
"The green and yellow paper recycling bin is dropped and located at HYSL. The location main parking area. This bin will be for news paper and other office waste type paper ONLY (plastic,cardboard and metals are not part of this program). This will be another way to fundraise for HYSL and support your children's sport's activities. So starting in march please start saving all your news papers and other types of paper and bring them to your next game and drop them in the bin. The more support the better the program will be for HYSL." Again I would like to thank you in advance for your support in the recycling program.
