WHERE DO I FIT

What does it take?
The success of any team relies on the ability to effectively fill the roster with players that are willing to play. When it becomes impossible to do this, the team is required to forfeit and everyone loses. Much the same can be said for our HYSL Boards. Except when we fail to put forth a full roster, the entire league (all teams) suffers.

HYSL has a long history of providing an environment for children to develop, not only in an athletic environment, but develop in an environment that helps to develop values that will make them better citizens in our community. To do this, it recp.lires a team of volunteers to run league activities for the season. The title of the position or the unknowns of a position can often be enough to discourage good people with talent from stepping forward to make the commitment. As we end the 2005 season, we are beginning to prepare for the 2006 season and this starts with developing a board so they can effectively transition any new people stepping in with the incumbents of that particular position. In the case of the Commissioner, the HYSL Executive Board will make the final approval on the selection.

Please take a moment to review the below and consider how you can best support the league that helps to prepare our youth for the future ahead of them whether that be high school sports; scholarship to college; or a community leader, who one day returns to an organization such as this to prepare the youth of tomorrow.
If interested in filling a position for the 2006 year, contact your 2005 manager or call a member of the 2005 HYSL Boards. All help is welcome as there is no person whose time or talents are not valued. All volunteers must be able to pass an Anne Arundel County Background Check.
