Talleyville Travellers 12U-Fyock Finish 2nd in USSSA Explosion in Christmas City

The Travellers finished 2nd in a rain soaked weekend in Bethlehem PA.  After a disappointing 1-2 Saturday the Travellers faced the #2 seed Lower Mac in the first game.  Lower Mac tied the game in the bottom of the 6th as time expired.  During the International Tie Breaker the Travellers scored 3 runs in the top of the inning and held Lower Mac to 0.  Next the Travellers faced the Pocono Pride in the semi-finals and the bats came alive as the Travellers posted a 13 - 3 victory in 5 innings.  In the Championship Game The Travellers faced the undefeated Outlaws Fastpitch.  With two outs and the score 5-4 Outlaws in the bottom of the 6th when time expired (which is not a very good rule) So the Travellers ended up 2nd. The coaching staff said a great team effort and not giving up despite all the rain, is what lead to the 2nd place finish.
